This distributor fits Ford 240 and 300 inline six engines.

Q: I have a 65 f 250 with the 300 inline 6... Would it fit and would I have to do anything for the harness or just plug and play?

It fit my 300 6 just fine. The distributor only requires a single 12 volt wire so the hookup to the existing harness is required. My truck runs great with this new distributor.

Q: Do you use the stock ignition setup on a 1976 f100 or do you bypass it?

It was over a year ago but I think I used the stock setup. Sorry I am not 100% sure but 99%.
