I work in security usually in places that are under construction with no power. This is very bright and last an entire 8 hour shift. I haven't tested to see how much it can charge my phone. Though I did plug it in to my phone and it registered that it had begun charging so at least I know it works. For 7.50 a lantern you cant go wrong. It's a neat little gadget and very handy.

Three of the four lanterns worked great out of the box. One lantern would only light up while plugged in and even then the light was very dim. At first I thought the lantern just needed to be fully charged, but after charging it and messing with it a couple days it still didn't work. I contacted the seller and they quickly sent me TWO new ones! They both work great! I sent one of the lanterns camping with my dad earlier this week. He said the lantern was even able to charge with the solar panel inside the tent! The lanterns are conveniently small and give off a lot of light. I am very happy with my purchase!

I’ve bought at least 10- keep giving them to friends. They charge well via solar and when lights were out for a week, they did the job. We’ve left them in the rain, and treated them poorly and never lost light. I just toss out the power cord and store them on a window sill. They work as usb chargers when they’re not actually charging. I’ve used them to charge A small mophie and then used that to get a partial charge on iPhone. Good for an emergency but not for regular use. As a light, they’re a perfect camping or backyard lantern.

These are much smaller than I thought they were going to be but MAN do they put off some light! I LOVE THESE! I bought the four pack so if a hurricane comes around I wont have to worry about batteries and candles and nonsense like that. These are solar powered so I can just put it out in the BRIGHT Florida sun! But I like the options of being able to use batteries or a USB charging cable if I want. These are just great to buy and throw in the shed for when you need them. I was very pleased & for $30 for 4 it was a no brainer.

We live in an area with semi-regular power outages and I bought 8 of these for a "power outage prep box." LOVE THEM! Easy to use, stay charged for a long time, light weight, and the kids love them. I also love that you just pull on the top to open it and turn it on, so you're not trying to find the power button in the dark! These are also VERY bright, which is a bonus for such a small lantern.
