Great jhooks, made better with some simple mods
Some gorilla tape around the edge plates makes the fit a lot more snug and it doesn't move at all and feels really solid. Way better more solid than my previous jhooksThe only thing I didn't like was back of the jhook's U plastic piece should have been taller so the bar has more manvuer room and won't catch on the top of the plastic hook during a bench/squat re-rack. I easily fixed this by taking a spare female PC power plug, cutting cord off, and taping it to each side on top of the existing U with gorilla tape. This effectively extended the hard plastic to the very top of the jhook so the bar doesn't catch anymore when I'm benching/squatting. A little hacky but works great.

Better than what came with cage
Love these. Solid for heavy lifts. Much better and heavier duty than J-hooks that came with my cage (different vendor). Highly recommend.

Not perfect
Will work and hold bar, but the angle is too high for racking bar. Good quality.

Works well for my Rep PR-1100 Rack, makes bench lift-offs easier.
The media could not be loaded. I have the PR-1100 with traditional J-Cups, it's a 2x2 rack with 1" holes.TL;DR These seem good, I like them over my traditional J-Cups. While the B "Patent" design seems a little oversold for something that's not really unique, they do make it so there's no rattle or a mis-positioning of the cups on re-racks or set up, with the tradeoff that they are a little more tedious to set up because of that. I can't speak to much on the longevity. Only time will tell, but they seem fine for my use. I personally am only going to use these for benching so it won't ever likely ever break 500lbs loaded and I feel okay with that, but I don't know if I'd trust these with squats. That said, the breaking point will likely be the plastic cracking first, rather than the steel core bending/shearing off, and while the product will likely be ruined, I don't think there will be catastrophic failure with the welds.Onto the shape itself, the problem with the traditional J-Cups is that they have a formidable lip, which, for most people, is probably not an issue. However, as a powerlifter, setting my shoulders and being able to clear the rack for an optimal bar path is obstructed by that lip. With this design that is just a long open angle, you can set your shoulders and effectively pull the bar forward with your lats and some chest supporting the bar, so you are at an optimal position to press when you unrack. You can't "pull" the bar when you had a lip in the way, and end up needing other solutions, like a liftoff, a monolift, or maybe you just have massive front delts to be able to do that, in which case, you can ignore weak little me and get back to training you monster. So, yeah, these are effective for that with their long horizontal piece of steel with a small incline to let the bar roll back into the catch. These hooks, compared to my traditional J-Cups that came with my PR-1100, also sit a little lower. Because of my own body size, my bench height, my rack hole spacing, the traditional ones were a tad too high, so this brought it down to just the right height. Combined with the lack of lip, I have had an easier time unracking.Overall, I'm pleased with what I got for the price and that I don't have to resort to trying to get some kind of monolift attachment for my situation.

Perfect for my application
Perfect fit, exactly what I was looking for! Very easy to use and a great value. The shape and cover on the hook make for an easy and stable transition on the lift and release.

They're really nice.
The pros and cons The j Hooks are incredibly strong, and the rubbers good. Id say these are extremely nice for bench.. the cons the rubber/hook doesn't go high enough up the back for when you re rack, and its kind of a weird angle to hold the weight in vs a traditional hook end/lip so not as nice for squares, but it'll still get the job done and structurally I think they're pretty dang strongWould be a 5star j hook if not for the cons mentioned above, but All and all for $20 its a good buy and they do look really good i bought 2 sets, but if I had it to do over i may have only bought 1 and for the second pair id have looked for some that are a little taller.

Fits Cap FM-905Q
Bought a Cap 905Q squat rack. The j-hooks that come with it, don't inspire much confidence. Not to mention you can't easily buy a second pair if needed desired. These 2x2 with 1/2 inch fit the Cap FM-905Q and feel much better made, more secure. And also are not bare metal like the Cap J-hooks, that can leave paint or wear your barbell. These have a nice soft catch which should be easier on the barbell. Took a little longer to ship and box was damaged but product was good.

Nice J Hooks
These do the trick. As far as J Hooks go, they're great.I've been using what came with my power rack: a metal peg of sorts. My understanding is those are horrible for barbells and their knurling. Plus the bar would roll around on it.I switched to the j hooks this week. Used them a couple times now. They're great. They hold the bar in one place, seem sturdy and fit my rack perfectly. So they solved a handful of problems my old peg attachments had. Some pictures are attached for reference. You can see my old metal peg holders for reference in a couple pictures.
