AC to DC Power Adapter - Tevina 100-240V AC to 12V 5A DC Power Converter/Inverter for Portable Cooler Warmer, Air Compressor, Heated Seat and Other DC Devices

I purchased this coverter for a electric cooler that I purchased from a truck stop a couple of years ago. I purchased a RoadPro 12 volt soft sided cooler so that when I travel I could keep drinks cold enroute or have something to enjoy along the way without having to stop at a gas station when I wanted a drink. The cooler, when I purchased it, came with the 12volt car plug but not the adapter.I had to take a trip recently that was an over-weekend stay at a college. The dorm rooms we had to stay in didn't have fridges or any ammenities other than a bed, desk and bathroom/shower. Having this adapter made it super easy for me to be able to keep my drinks cold while I was staying in the dorm room. With the power source, it kept my drinks ice cold which made me super happy since the dining hall was a good 5 minute walk from the room (if not longer) and the weather was particularly bad that weekend. So walking to get ice or something to drink wouldn't have been easy especially since there wasn't a vending machine in the dorm hall (which I thought was weird).Anyways, this converter worked perfectly and was just what I needed.

We used this with our Igloo Iceless Thermoelectric Cooler, 28 qt. We would use the cooler in our car during the day, and then we needed this adapter so we could plug the cooler into a regular outlet at night. It worked fine for about 3 nights, and then it stopped working. Yes it got hot. I won't buy another one.

This product when plugged into appliance becomes hot.

Using to charge an RC car that only came with a DC 4-amp power supply. Works like a charm!

This is an excellent power adapter for anything that you would normally power with a cigarette lighter socket in a car. I buyed it because I need a power supply for my telescope which one use the cigarette socket. So now I can use it on my backyard connected to the adapter with problems.A perfect 12-volt adapter to use and/or test car accessoriesI'm happy with the product!

Often we aren't so lucky with devices that just works as they are supposed to, but this is a good example of something that is designed and built to simply work.It appears to be a modified laptop charger which I am using to charge the batter for the Traxxus RC car.

It didn't work. I connected my car air pump DC connector to this AC-DC converter and connect the converter to the wall AC outlet, but it did not provide enough power to the air pump, hence no air coming out to the tire. I ended up using my car's own 12v DC outlet to power the air pump to get the job done.

I recieved a phone charging gadget that works better on my desk (It is shaped like a Death Star). I needed a way to power it up at work and this completely does the job!
