WellgoB087 BMX Platform Pedals 9/16" Black

I'm a relative beginner to cycling, bought a hybrid from REI last year and these came stock on that bike. With a pair of shoes with decent tread these give plenty of grip, and a large enough platform to support your feet. I bought a cheap road bike recently and it came with some BMX style pedals that never felt like they were supporting my feet properly. Replaced with these and riding experience immediately improved.

These aren't exactly light. I had a pair of these when I rode form the US to Panama and I guess I got used to the weight, got a new bike with some higher-end pedals and then got a new set of these in preparation for another tour. These are weighty but I can say from using them the sealed bearings last forever and they are really tough, the only downside is the weight.

The pedals are nice. However it took over a month to receive them from China. If you need them fast look elsewhere! Other than that they are fine

They are nice solid pedals but super heavy. I made the mistake and thought I was purchasing Wellgo nylon/plastic pedals but these were actually metal and very heavy.

I bought this to replace the rubber pedals that came on my Fuji bike after they wore out. The metal pins provide good grip. Unlike some other metals, the pins do not have any sharp edges. Too soon to tell on durability, but so far no problems.
