my daughter loves it!!
We got such a great deal on this! They were 29.99 at the toy store and we got it for [...]! Great!! We just love the pixel chics! My daughters have 3 now, and they connect them all together and watch them play. I love when you leave them for a while they say " I thought you were my friend, where have you been" My husband and I laughed so hard!Great for little girls, mine are 5 and 7.

Okay for the price
My 5 yr old daughter has been asking me for this toy for at least the last couple of years. But I couldn't justify paying $35 for a toy I wasn't sure she would understand or be able to work. Seeing the sale price of $10 online with Amazon during the holidays I didn't think twice about clicking it into my shopping cart and whipping out my credit card. This was the perfect price to let my daughter try out what she wanted without busting my wallet. She has enjoyed it but not as much as I think she thought she would.Very glad I didn't invest as much as the retail price on this toy. Fun but not for $35, especially when you think of the other Pixel Chick games you can get to connect to it. By the time you buy them all to connect to each other I wonder why they don't make it into a game on the Nintendo Advance or DS. You would spend just as much on the system and a game and have a much smaller toy to pack around.

Kids Love but Some Problems
My 8 year old granddaughter got the Pixel Chix house and car for Christmas and loved them. Bought both malls and had problems with them shutting off or getting lines across. Sent them back and got great service for an exchange with Amazon. Of the two new malls one of the new ones (this one)also has the same problem. The second one works great and my granddaughter plays with them all the time. Decided to get the two story house and she loves that one also. She connects them and the girls move from house to mall or car. These are great fun and she wants more, I just wish we didn't have as much trouble with some of them that we have had.

Toy didn't work
I gave this as a gift and the mother called an wanted to know where I got it because after only one day it didn't work any more and she wanted to return it. She also said her daughter lost interest in the toy pretty quickly. This is second hand information so others who have bought this toy may have had a more positive experience.

Well...
Okay, so I'm sixteen years old and I apparently haven't grown up yet, because I bought this toy recommended for girls ages 6-9 on purpose. From the commercials, it seemed really fun. Which, I guess it still is, I just thought that there would be more to it. You see, there are things to buy and I can't figure out what to do after you buy everything they have. I thought that the mall would be just like the house ones, but I guess not. The reviews for the houses have compared this kids game to the Sims, which got me totally excited. Plus, the product description said that it had five levels to play, but the mall games don't, which I didn't find out until after I bought the game. Kids would probably have more fun if they connected the mall game to a house, because if you get just the mall, like I did, there's not much to do. In general, I think that girls would like it. I'm sixteen, and I thought that it would be cool, but I guess that I'm too old to enjoy this game. :( I still give it 5 stars, though.

My kids LOVE this toy
Fun: I have no idea why my girls like it so much. I've played with it a little bit, and find it boring (but, then again, when I was a kid, I would spend hours playing with the hand-held football and pac-man games, and those only had little red lights, not digital people...). My kids spend hours playing with this, take it with them on car trips (even short ones to the grocery store), and fight over who gets it next. I have a 3-year-old and a 7-year-old, and I've had to buy separate Pixel Chix toys for both of them, so that they would stop fighting over the mall/food court. My 3yo takes her Pixel Chix car to bed with her, and sometimes I catch her waking up in the middle of the night to play with it. My 7yo wants more Pixel Chix toys, and chose Pixel Chix as her reward for completing her summer skills activities workbook.Educational: There's some basic math involved, as you earn money and then spend it shopping, but this is not what I would call an "educational" toy.Durability: We've had our Pixel Chix mall for about a month, and it's been carried, dragged, dropped, fought over, etc., and is still going strong.
