My wife and I were searching for a non-meat alternative to beef and chicken bouillon, expecting this product to be just a temporary substitute. To our surprise, we were completely wrong—this stuff is amazing! I’ve stopped buying beef and chicken bouillon altogether. It’s essentially a more affordable version of mushroom powder, and we absolutely love it. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!

I love adding the taste of mushrooms to soups and other dishes. This has a very pleasing mushroom flavor and adds to the depth of any sauce.

I have previous bought this mushroom bouillon a long while back. I use the previous can sparingly because of it's relatively strong flavor profile. With this can, it seems like the formula has changed to add more salt with a lessened mushroom flavor. It still tastes of mushroom, but not as strongly as the previous can.I typically use this to add mushroom flavoring to gravies and soups. With the extra saltiness, I have to use even less, imparting less mushroom flavor than I'd like. The manufacturer needs to cut back on the salt to allow the mushroom flavor through. We're not buying salt, we're buying mushroom flavored bouillon. The salt is somewhat out of balance with the flavor. It's still flavorful and useful in cooking, but not as much as I was hoping.

This mushroom bouillon makes food taste absolutely delicious. It gives food a umami, very rich bold flavor to foods. I love to make a thick gravy with it or make soup with it. When I season the food with it every one loves it.

It's honestly really great. It is high in sodium levels (less than regular salt though), so if you're watching that maybe this isn't for you.But from a flavor perspective, this makes everything delicious. Seriously. Excellent bouillon option for almost any savory dish.
