These clippers are sturdy and capable. I'm not sure the straight blade is that valuable, however. The bad thing here is these clippers do NOT have a file. Ater trimming with such a large blade, some light filing is necessary.

I will never own a different set of clippers. I splurged and got one for myself. I was so impressed with them, I gave them to every one of my kids to have a set in their own homes. And got an extra one for me to carry with me all the time. Don't hesitate- you will NOT be disappointed.

I have always used Revlon clippers but this is the first pair of "Mens" branded clippers I have used. Unlike less expensive nail clippers, the Revlons have always had a better blade edge leaving a nice smooth cut without any nasty edges that get caught on everything. This pair has both a large and a small cutting head which is great! The cutting surface is more flat and less rounded than my old clippers which may be why they are branded for men??? The value in having a large and small clipper in one unit for me, is that I have nail and toenail clippers always on hand. Normally I would use the larger toenail clippers for everything but the smaller side does a great job on the hands and pinky toe. I have to say that these left my fingers and toes feeling noticeably better than my last pair of clippers! I highly recommend these.

Husband likes it. Not as well made as much older one. Edges could good use a smoother finish. Recommend purchase. Sorry to say this item fell apart after approximately ten uses. Would not recommend. Would remove five stars if I could.

These things are so very much sharper than my last pair of nail clippers! They do a great job of cutting your nails. However, there are no liddle tabs to stop the handles from sliding sideways when folded down, so when you carry this in your pocket it kind of comes apart. I’m not used to that feature been missing and it’s somewhat annoying. I can heartily recommend these if you just leave them on your bathroom counter and don’t carry them everywhere.
