Best dry yeast I’ve used
I almost always use fresh yeast in my bread. It makes a vast difference in flavour and quality especially when coupled with excellent flour. ie Bako Select or Marriages extra strong Canadian flour.This dry yeast is very good though as far as dry ones go.The trick is to get it fermenting first in a cup of warm water with sugar. Let it bubble up well which will take around 15-20 minutes. If you use it dry, then expect a lesser quality. Something about the process of pre-fermenting it makes a big difference.All in all a very good, useful dry yeast and one to use if fresh yeast isn’t available. Although nothing beats fresh in my experience.
