Have to use it right
I have been using the Sacro Wedgy for about two weeks now. I have been experiencing sacral/hip problems for about two years. I have worked with yoga, other stretching, consulted a chiropractor and other doctors, and bought an inversion table. All provided relief to some degree, but for some reason never could alleviate the problem, yet x-rays and examinations were not showing any significant problems (welcome to the msyteries of back/hip pain).Within two days of using this simple device, I was able to isolate the cause of my back problem. I sat on the sacro wedgy for a day in my office chair and felt everything in my pelvis/hip relax, the pain disappeared. I was very happy...then I got in my car to go visit some clients and run some errands. It felt like someboy stuck a hot knife into my lower back and twisted it by the end of the day. Bingo! When I was in my 20's I had an old pickup truck that caused sciatica, which vanished within a week of my replacing that vehicle. However, this wasn't sciatica, and the link was immediately apparent and the car is only 2 years old...the pieces started to fall together. It was my car seat that was causing my problem. My car is a small compact car, and I never noticed any overt discomfort from it, but I made some adjustments to it, and used the sacro wedgy until I started feeling relief. For the first time in two years, I am 95% pain free and improving. My recommendation to people looking at this product is to read the instructions very carefully and really feel with your body where it should be placed. It takes a little experimentation to get it right, and I am sure it changes for each person in question. I have found it more effective to actually sit on it on my sofa, office chair, and elsewhere than the the lying down application, although that helps too.Next, check all your regular seating against the results. If you are experiencing symptoms consistent with tight psoas and iliacus and/or sacral tenderness (do a search on these), then this thing will help you, but what I found most amazing is how quickly it helped me identify the culprit (car seat) and how subtle that problem was. Yet, it was able to put a severe kink in my life for quite some time.I have a lot of experience with martial arts, body work, etc., and had tried several paths to relief, I am very aware of my body. So, you might want to speak with a good specialist who can help you with the use of this if you don't have a good sense for your own body. If you use it wrong, it will hurt and could make things worse. However, with proper use it could really help.I don't think this device will help people too much with middle and upper spine issues, but I could be wrong, the back is a complex and wonderful thing. So, good luck, I hope this review helps people with the sacro wedgy and possibly opens up some ideas for people to find relief.

Effective at loosening muscles of the pelvis
I purchased the Sacral Wedgy on the recommendation of another long-distance runner that I know. Both of us were suffering from a pain that felt like sciatica...kind of a dull, throbbing pain that runs along the bottom of the hip joint. When I first used the Sacral Wedgy, it caused me to have a very painful lower back and I was concerned that it may not be for me. But after the next use, I started to find that it relieved the pain in my hip joint. I have used it for over a month, and feel that periodic use of this device is helping to alleviate the pain that I had before, and I no longer get any other effects on my lower back from it.

Does align pelvis
The Sacro Wedgy does align my pelvis. It is hard feeling on my body, however. Granted, I don't have much "padding". I have placed some material over it to soften it, and can last about 8 minutes before it gets too uncomfortable. Although I am certain it must position the pelvis more optimally, I can get a similar action by laying on a softly inflated "Mirable Ball". As I work with it more, I will most likely find something better to lay over it to make it more comfortable.

Surprising Relief
Seven years ago I had back muscle spasms and had to call 911 and have the Fire Dept carry me out of my house, to an ambulance which took me to a hospital where I was for 5 days. The next 5 years, every time I went to sleep I wondered if I would be able to get up out of bed. Two years ago I bought a Chi Machine which helped considerably but the area in the small of my back (sacral area) would at times tighten and I would get acupuncture or go to a Chiropractor. I have an inversion table that would stretch me but the diamond area in the lower back I was unable to directly address. I have a Ma Roller which I could use down my back and even could lay on it sideways to challenge my Glut muscle like a deep massage where they would challenge the muscle with their elbow. Once again, a good process, but not addressing the diamond in the lower back-the sacral area. I have a Back-Joy product which is very good for sitting but still not addressing the tightness and tension that would form in that diamond area. It was by accident that I found this Sacro-Wedgie and went to YouTube and watched the video and I knew immediately that this was a solution I needed to take a close look at.I have mine for 2 days now and it is amazing to feel the release that occurs in the sacral area and the pelvic girdle for me. I even used it tonight in conjunction with my Chi Machine with it moving my hips and helping the muscles relax in that sacral area. I can stand up and sit down, now without feeling any lower back tension-absolutely amazing. I also have the Back-To-Life product advertised on TV, and the True Back product which would stretch the lower back muscles through their methodology, but had not been able to address the Diamond area or the Wedge in the Sacral Area like the Sacro Wedgie does. I am contacting all my friends because of what a great product this is. Hey, for 25 dollars, half the cost of a trip to the Chiropractor, or a co-pay for pain medication/muscles relaxers it is definitly worth the purchase. If you have lower back pain issues I wish you well in seeking a lasting solution-I believe I have found mine.
