Decent hoist
This hoist is good, still requires 2 people to run if you really want to be on the safe side not banging the top against your Jeep. I didn’t like the fact on the block and tackle was the safety to ensure if the anchor let go for some reason there would be a safety back-up which I designed and installed myself. The eye-bolt actually bent when I was hoisting the cover which could’ve led to the entire thing tumbling down. I’m pretty handy and it did take some effort to install this. It works well but the advertisements and videos would suggest this is much simpler to operate and install then it actually is. A generous 4 start rating.

Works great
Love this hoist, easy to install, even lift, easy for someone who isn’t so strong to use.

Works well. Easy installation
This worked very well, overall, I think the instructions are overly complicated. Once I figured out how all the pieces worked together, I was able to install it reasonably quickly. Lifts my wrangler 2011 hardtop with one hand. The block and tackle mechanical advantage is very good. I’m still going to put a secondary safety strap simply because the design has a single point of failure. If the rope or welded eyelet breaks loose, the whole thing comes down.
