BLACK+DECKER Electric Leaf Blower, 7-Amp (LB700)

I'm a senior citizen and I wanted something to blow the leaves off my deck because I haven't been able to get the lawn service to do it. I'm not very strong so I wanted something that wasn't too heavy. This machine is perfect. I was able to get it out of the box and snap the long black tube onto the red machine part on the first try. Frankly, the hardest part was making sure I had the right kind of extension cord. You need a long one, long enough to reach the area you want to do (my deck is large) AND one end must have prongs that go into your electric socket and the other end must have only ONE spot to plug into the prongs on the tool. I found that several of the extension cords I already had were equiped with several places to plug in multiple items sort of like a power strip. That type of cord won't work. There must be only one place on each end. But, I did have the right kind and once I attached it I was off and blowing the leaves away. They were even wet. So great job black and decker.

Love it. It is smaller and lighter than my Toro so I thought it might not be powerful. I was wrong!! It is very powerful (not like gas or commercial ones). For bowing my deck, yard, concrete, garage, driveway.......very fast. I have seen reviews talking about how the power cord is not included - I have never found a power cord included in any electrical appliance. I have also read about how the plug comes off of the socket on the blower. I did experience that. But not a big deal...I simply hold onto some excess cord close the where it plugs in.All in all, I love it.

I returned a larger leaf blower that I ordered which was too big & bulky for my needs. I replaced it with this Black and Decker 7-Amp and it’s perfect for my needs. It seems much more powerful and is so much easier to handle and store. This blower requires an outdoor extension cord which is a bit tricky to figure out how to loop the cord so it doesn’t fall out from the blower. Just watch the Amazon video and it will show you in a comparison video how it’s done. I just received the blower so I can’t comment on longevity, but so far I absolutely love it!

I wasn't expecting much from this product because of its low price vs. replacing my Toro Blower/leaf vac. that died after more than 20+ years of service. In simple terms the Toro is like a controlled hurricane with adjustable speed vs. the BD blower comparable to a strong windstorm with only one speed.The BD blower does its work surprisingly well and although a 2nd speed would be preferable for some uses it gets the job done despite what I would consider a desirable improvement (minus one star).On the positive side, the blower is light and easily manageable. The lower power compared to the Toro I had become used to was actually beneficial in some areas where it did not dislodge the stones in my path while still removing the leaves, etc. Finally, because of the lower AC current used by this blower, I did notice that the 25 ft 16 guage cord I used closest to the blower were not warm at all compared to when I used the same cord on my Toro that takes almost twice as much Amps (I use 50 ft of 12-14 guage at the house plug to add distance ).I did find that the cord retention feature worked well by forming a loop with the cord and the plug never pulled out even once.

This B&D leaf blower does a great job for the money. I have a big yard, and the older much heavier blower did a good job, but would wear this 82 year old man out.This B & D does not wear me out that is a good thing.I will recommend this leaf blower to anyone.

I’m in my mid 70’s with arthritis in my hands and wrist so I thought I would try this small light blower. I didn’t think it would work well but it’s works great! I’m so glad I got it. It’s light and powerful.

Why I opened the box and saw the blower I was a little put off as to how small it was. I thought it wouldn’t have much velocity at all.. to my surprise it’s great very happy with it, perfect yard blower

I bought this blower specifically to blow dry my car after washing. It does not disappoint. It is light weight, powerful enough and definitely does the job.
