A flashlight worth carrying
If you're like me, you're probably second-guessing whether you need to spend 80-odd bucks on a flashlight. I mean, your phone has one, it takes up no space in your kit, and it's free! I decided to pull the trigger on this light, and I'll never look back. I had been looking for a reliable, quality USB-C rechargeable light for awhile, and the Wedge simply checks all the boxes. I've had RovyVons in the past, but they're a little too small to hold and locate conveniently, and they get lost because they're so small. The Wedge fits perfectly in a pocket, and locates super quickly when I need some light. The thumbswitch is intuitive and easy to locate with a single motion when you pull it out of a pocket. It's super durable, surviving multiple drops onto concrete. It's not super bright, but it's more than bright enough for what I use it for at work (locating mechanical equipment, tracing wires, lighting up dark areas). It's also great that it doesn't have any stupid "tactical" strobe function: it turns on, it turns on extra bright if you need it, and it turns off. The runtime is incredibly good; I'd say it probably lasts for at least a few hours on a single charge. Charging is super convenient, since there's no dustcap that you need to remove on the back, and it charges with the same USB-C cable you'd use for your phone; I can throw it on the nightstand to charge at night if I notice it getting low. I'd say I charge it maybe once every week or two, with casual (10-15 minutes) of usage per day. Ultimately, while this light doesn't exactly shine (pun intended) in any one particular area, it's the perfect all-rounder. I find myself reaching for it much more often than I expected I would, simply because when I need some extra light, it's WAY faster (and brighter) than pulling out my phone and turning on the flashlight.

Good Light
This is a solid flashlight that has a thin profile for easy carrying in a pocket. Very bright especially in the throw model. Charges fast and is rugged.

A Radiant Revelation: Shedding Light on Streamlight Wedge!
Ah, dear readers, allow me to illuminate your path with a review that shines as brightly as the Streamlight Wedge itself. This pocket-sized wonder is a radiant revelation, perfect for those seeking both practicality and panache in their everyday carry. With a brilliance that could blind any offending foe, it stands tall as a formidable force against the shadows. Firstly, let us bask in the brilliance of its luminosity. With a regular brightness of 300 lumens and a dazzling 1000 lumens on high, the Wedge effortlessly banishes the darkness, making it a beacon of light in a world often shrouded in shadow. Its light, like a vengeful glare, pierces through the veil of obscurity, ensuring that no adversary can escape its blinding radiance. But it is not just its blinding prowess that impresses; the Wedge's design is a masterpiece in itself. Slender and sleek, it effortlessly slips into one's jeans pocket, fitting like a well-tailored garment. Its slim form and metallic construction imbue it with an air of sophistication, reminiscent of a finely-crafted work of art. Furthermore, this marvelous creation allows for versatility in carry, catering to both left-handed and right-handed individuals with its swappable clip. How thoughtful, for even in matters of illumination, inclusivity should not be overlooked. Of course, my dear readers, even the most beguiling gems may have a minor flaw. In the case of the Wedge, debris occasionally finds its way into the charge port. Fear not, for with a delicate touch and the aid of a toothpick, this small inconvenience can be swiftly addressed, allowing the Wedge to reclaim its pristine glory. To conclude, the Streamlight Wedge is a luminary among flashlights, a beacon of brilliance that marries style and substance. With its enchanting glow and impeccable design, it truly belongs in the hands of those who appreciate both elegance and functionality. So, my dear readers, let the Wedge illuminate your path, for with this remarkable companion, you shall never be left in the dark, and any unwelcome foe shall be blinded by its magnificent radiance.

Excellent Design
This is an exceptionally well-designed flashlight. The switch is simple and intuitive. The body is easy to hold, while still being able to use your hands (like a cigar or large penlight). The clip is fantastic, if a bit strong (I find I can't easily clip to my shirt, like I sometimes like to do for hands-free use, but it easily clips to the belt or outside of my pocket). The light has a decent size, without monopolizing the pocket. USB charging is ideal for an edc light (easy to top-off). 300 lumens was a good choice for this light... quite bright, but without getting too hot. The beam is definitely on the floody side, good for work and going for a stroll. I do find myself wishing there was a lower mode, in the 10-30 lumen range. But I can't really complain, because Streamlight delivers on the simple practicality of the design. In terms of price, I was happy with the $80 I paid, but I can see why some people object to it being over $100. The build quality is decent... it feels lightweight, but solid, with the feel being of powder-coated aluminum, or very high quality plastic. Someone mentioned the molding not lining-up... can't say that bothers me, or that I'd even notice without looking for it. Inability to replace the battery reduces value, but it's excusable given how well this is designed and executed. Time will tell, regarding reliability (I will update, if there are any failures). Based on my limited experience, Streamlight products are reliable. I would NOT say the same of Olight... my last several Olights have failed on me, and I know I'm not the only one. The design and implementation on this light are excellent... I'm picky about what I put in my pockets, but Streamlight really nailed it with this one.
