So very happy with this product/instructions! Follow instructions to a T and you will have success. I had to clip the end off the straight pick to get the c-clip out; just needed a little thicker point on the pick.

This supposed kit consists of a plastic pick and an o-ring.

2006 R171 SLK 350, center cylinder started leaking. Supplied pick set did not have the hook pick, but I ended up drilling the 1/8" hole and the C-ring popped out. Would have been nice to know how to relieve hydraulic pressure, if that's even possible. Ended up using a bar clamp to compress the rod to clear the C-ring. Took about 2 hours to perform the procedure. Be careful on the R-171, the hydraulic pump and reservoir is not easily accessible behind the cockpit.

The first seal was the wrong size. I emailed the seller. They quickly sent two more right size replacements. Very happy!!! To order a new cylinder from the dealer is very expensive and also a lots of labor. This is the perfect solution. The instructions are very clear. I got it done with in about 3-4 hours by myself. O-ring worked great, I would give 5 but the instructions neglected to mention blocking the trunk so it won't drop.
