Hearing about black garlic on a podcast I had to try some. No garlic taste or smell and is slightly sweet. I could eat these all day. Already bought more.

I've never knowingly eaten black garlic before and so I purchased 2 different brands. I was pleasantly surprised at the taste and texture of these. They easily come right out of their shell-skin. There's no real noticeable smell. Texture is like a gummy bear and the taste is very mild. It kinda leans towards sweet. At first it tasted a bit like a fig and then a mild garlic & balsamic. No weird aftertaste and no garlic burping either. So, I'd recommend everyone try it once to see for themselves if they like it. Because I'm not convinced this is a legitimate company (more like a middle-man vendor) and that part of the information provided seems elusive, I have removed one star in my rating. I prefer transparency. All that being said, the garlic bulbs are indeed very delicious and treat-worthy.

Purchased these for my husband who loves black garlic. He likes the 'peeled cloves' because sometimes he just eats them right out of the jar. Black garlic is much more mild than raw garlic. It has a slightly sweet flavor. It's a great way to introduce lighter garlic flavor in any dish you use garlic in. I like that it is in a glass jar. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. It's pricey but very good. Very sweet and high in carbs. But in moderation for me as I am on a low low carb food plan, I have enjoyed using it
