Becoming Who You Are: Embracing the Power of Your Identity in Christ Review: Everyone Needs this Book! - Dutch is such a fantastic author. I love how he uses the Bible as text and breaks down the original language. So often things are translated in a way that is far less impactful than the original words. Dutch breaks it all down and explains everything so well. This book is exactly what I needed. I haven't heard this concept anywhere before-that when we are saved, our spirit is saved, but our soul needs to come into alignment with our spirit so that we can walk day to day as the people we want to be in God. So powerful. Review: Fantastic Book - This is a very interesting book regarding body, spirit, soul. The writer has a way of describing all of these attributes in a way that is very understanding. Have studies this in other articles and books but this is the best explanations I have ever studied.

The simple yet Illusive task
No, it's not complicated, but we need to understand who we are and how we got here. Then it's pretty straightforward and only requires diligence and allowing a power greater than ourselves to do what he has always promised to do. This book does an amazing job at describing all of the above. It is very thorough, but I did not find it at all tedious, but rather inspiring and motivating to do much more of my own study. I would recommend this for anyone who has heard many great sermons, illustrations and examples, but has been unable to immediately see the results in their life.

Easy read
Can't go wrong with Dutch Sheets books, they are easy to understand & a splash of.humor, now & then, adds a nice touch. This book is truly life changing!

Must read!
This book expounds on and deeply explains something that my mentor has discipled me about for years. This book took the message deeper in such a way that I know have a better understanding of how to apply God’s Word to my life to experience greater freedom and become who I am.

Transformed day by day.
According to the author, the transformation we are seeking already resides within us. It's just a matter of allowing the seed to grow and the ONLY way this can happen is through God's word. Thinking on, speaking, and persistence are the requirements. Sheets draws the analogy of eating nutritious foods and the Scriptures. Nutrients find their way to exactly where they're needed to keep the body healthy. The Word works the same way. It goes right where it's needed to strengthen, transform, and also deliver us from the stronghold(s) we've been carrying often for so long. We become who we were always meant to be and this transformation, as Sheets indicates, doesn't need to take years and years before results are noticed. In a relatively short time the changes will appear. This is not promoted as a quick fix nor a temporary patch. This is about abiding in the Word day by day as John 15 exhorts us. Distractions will come, count on it. But maybe the distractions, in whatever form they take - depending on the individual - are helpful in that they show us the depth of our commitment and resolve. If we recognize something trying to get us to let go of our desire to be who God always meant for us to be, then we are further motivated to remain on track. It lets us know that we are truly making progress through God's word in spite of the distraction. Abide in the Word. This willingness is the key and the requirement. Highly recommended.

becoming who you are
Very informative. Captures what the fall is all about and how it effects and has effected all of us. I'm not through reading it yet however I find it really opens my mind, heart, soul and spirit as to Gods plan for our salvation and what we really lost with the fall of Adam and how we regain it back. The author does this all through using the scriptures. I look forward to finishing the book and applying it to my daily life. It helps me to understand deeper the love that God has for us all and how he wants to be a part of our everyday life. May you walk with God through Jesus' love, sacrifice and redemption.

Plain Talk
I like when a book is written for the reader to be able to understand what is being said. I so appreciate this author and his ability to do just that! Great read highly recommended!!

I read this book after I’d read Spirit, Soul and Body by Andrew Womack and Your Identity in Christ by Neil Anderson - I felt it was the best of the three. I found Dutch’s explanation of the Greek to be particularly helpful.

For those of any age who missed building blocks in life, it helps you understand yourself and brings wholeness, healing and hope. I believe it should be a must in pre -baptism courses to fully understand what God has done and will do as we seek after Him wholeheartedly. Information that helps the process of transformation. Hope for a generation that desperately needs it and Truth. Blessings all.

Easy read without feeling condemnation for not being who God says we are. Though the process may take time we rely on God's promises and this book gives you the background and helps you to move towards becoming who you are.
