Hard to answer, but this helmet has a huge range of adjustment. Much more range than any other helmet I have seen.

what size helmet do I need for my 8 year old niece for her hoverboard.

The helmet should be one size. The back has a neat and easy adjustable setting for different head shapes I cranked it for my 3 year old and it works perfectly. I'll loosen it as time goes on, it'll grow with him

What size child does this fit??? I have a 6 year old and 10 year old -

My son is a very small 5 year old. He weighs 36 lbs. It fits him. I would say it's similar to the toddler sized bells (3 to 5 years). It does not for 8 yeast old.

From what age onward are these?

Sizing is by head circumference not age (46-52cm). According to CDC, average head circumference for males at 1 year is 46.5 cm, females 45.2 cm. At 36 months is 49.7 cm for males and 48.6 cm for girls. Switching to a WHO graph, that I’m not sure is USA based or in general, a 5-year-old male with a 52cm head circumference would be in the 80th percentile; female would be in the 93rd. So. It should fit from around 1 to a beyond 5 but it depends on your child’s head size. All that said. We bought it for when our child was one and while it fit, he just hated it. Pretty bulky for such a little guy. He’s two now and it’s great.
