This was a gift for friends. This has a large reservoir with easy to read numbers. The decorative and detailed design adds to the beauty of the gauge. The rain gauge is sturdy and well built. My friends were very pleased, and I am too.

I LOVE birds so I loved the added feature of the bird on top of the gauge. The holder itself is unique but sturdy and very easy to use. The glass container seems well made and is very easy to read. I used it last summer and am looking forward to using it again this summer. I live in a climate that has freezing temps in the winter so it does need to be brought in during the winter.

This rain gauge is short in height, but that's OK for me. I have it in a potted plant near my door so I can see at a glance that there's rain in it. I like that the vessel itself is glass so I can keep it clean and it won't fade or discolor like a plastic tube would. Overall I am very satisfied with this product.

This is the third purchase to replace broken gauges based on snow or ice getting into the beaker and freezing. Yes, I probably should buy something other than glass or bring them out of the freezing rain/snow. Kind of defeats the purpose. Anyway, good overall but definitely doesn't hold up when temps are cold enough to freeze the water.

I had these for several years, but they broke in a hard freeze. Good quality glass and very durable paint which marks volumetric delineation. Rain gauges work in 1/10" not 1/8" - rainfall is measured, documented and communicated in 1/10's as these are. Glass can be more fragile then plastic but it does not cloud or fade. I failed to empty the gauges and a hard freeze broke out the bottoms. These are great quality and I ordered 2 more. It would be nicer if they were a graduated cylinder or conical ( a section of a cone) so expanding ice could "grow" upward to relieve pressure (as old school ice cube treys) but after an extensive search these are still the best option I found. I love this rain gauge! Our old rain gauge mounted to the fence and broke, I love that this one is free standing. It is sturdy and whimsical, I placed it in a potted plant. It also has a light which is a nice feature in the evening. Would highly recommend this product.

It's cute, but the solar element has already stopped working. I like that the tube is large & the numbers are easy to read
