Big bang for your buck$. This unit plays well on a shelf - (height recommended at waist to eye level facing forward) away from the wall 3-6 inches with nothing to hinder sound travel. It was only 2/3 volume in my garage (2 car open Garage)and I could be heard three houses away clearly.At the race track the 6hp motor generator 20ft away drowned out possibility under my ez up tent.Your expectations need to be realistic, this is designed to work well indoors and a bonus is you can turn it down with your phone if needed.I am a bass lover with 1.... 12" bandpass in my jeep that is cranked at high db wherever I go alone. I am extremely critical of music quality having an IASCA win under my belt. This lil radio satisfies me considering its size while I work in my shed, garage or just chillin on the porch or kitchen. In a room the size of a 2 car the sound bounces accurately around to make me forget the surround home speakers while giving me the control conveniently. This was well thought for music reproduction, just needs to fine tune it's options for future designs for the tech guys/girls out there. I would highly recommend this for a office under the desk, single apartment users and garage tinkerers to add to their environment without being bulky and saving space. The Bluetooth has reasonable range but not to give excellence.Not recommended for patio parties but will be fine for camping with minimum noise interference... bass is dependent on location and a solid background, my wife was actually impressed to the point she no longer looks at a Bose kitchen speaker anymore. This has been a fantastic purchase. I haven't thoroughly tested the 30 hour battery life but if you listen to music on a lower volume level, I believe you could make it very close to 30 hours.The sound is richer than most other wireless systems I have heard that are of similar size. The FM reception has exceeded my expectations. We use this to pick up FM transmissions at the local drive-in theater and I have no problem. I also have no problem picking up local FM stations but there are no buildings or hills blocking where I listen to the radio.The 2A USB charger is very close if not spot on to being accurate in its stated charge rate.I haven't had the opportunity to test its durability as I haven't dropped it on a hard surface but the construction quality seems to be quite sturdy.Bluetooth connects quickly and reaction time from device controls are quick as well. We're talking a small fraction of a second lag until the Nomad responds to your device commands.I have not used it to connect a mic or guitar but I imagine you could use this as a small PA system as the quality doesn't diminish significantly the louder you turn up the system.If you're thinking about buying this, then do it! Because of the sound quality and durability, I use this more than I anticipated.

I spent weeks looking for the perfect speaker for my needs...that has an FM radio. I looked at JBL, Harmon Karden, Altec et al. I wanted a brand name. Thank God I found Monster. The others were crazy overpriced and not worth it. I read reviews about poor FM recep with this speaker. I saw the $99.00 price and decided to trust Monster. I ordered on a Sat in Jan, chose Free shipping (5 days) and it arrived the NEXT DAY! Yeah! I unboxed it and turned on and pressed the source button to FM radio while in the basement and out came LOUD, CLEAR Reception on all channels. I streamed music and it is 30 watts loud, but lacking the richness of the Bose ST for example. The Bose is loud And rich. Still, for what it is, it is great. It has a USB charger to charge my phone also. In mixed use after the first charge, it lasted 2 weeks before needing another charge. I used the radio 90% of the time. With all these features,, I am so glad I bought the Monster. For my needs, the Nomad is just right for me. NOTE: I had it out in light rain for about 30 mins and it was fine. Love this speaker. The system has amazing sound quality for the price and size. The bass could be double and it would not hurt. The battery doesnt quite last 30 hours while on vol 32/32. However, it lasts two full 10 hour days. The bluetooth connection distance is phenomenal, around 110' with quality non sporadic connection!! The FM radio antenna could be better but hey, who cares to hear the same 10 songs any way? I have been using it for about 2 weeks now, almost daily. The charge time is about 3-5 hours and hasnt seemed to lose any battery life yet.I would definitely recommend this radio over many of the "smaller" lower quality speakers. You wont regret it for the price.

Some might say you get what you pay for, and, most of the time you do. But. With this bt speaker you get more then what you pay for. The sound quality is absolutely stunning. It is twice as loud as it looks. In my 2 car garage it will blow you away. You can even hear it over the shop vac! It wont rattle the back windshield with bass, but it is exceptional for what it is. If you are on the fence right now about which bt speaker to buy, buy this one. Ive already bought 2. Not only because I ran the first one over with a semi truck... this thing is tough tho, just wont hold up to a 50,000 pound load Haha. But it does survive lots of office spills off the work bench onto concreat. I would buy again next time I break one. (Btw I got the used one the second time and it was 20 bucks cheaper but it was still brand new never opend) happy hunting and God bless

La verdad estoy muy contento con la Nomad, es muy cómoda de llevarla a cualquier parte, le dura mucho la pila,y es muy resistente a caídas y para estar al aire libre. Respecto al sonido, yo uso el Power Amp en mi celular y al emparejarla con la nomad emite un sonido nítido y con buen bajo.

Very good wireless speaker. Good sound but not a boombox like another wireless speakers.But RADIO is very good, very good reception, VERY usefull. Mysic everywhere without need of phone or another .

Tuve problemas con el envío pero la adquirí en Coppel y puedo decir que es de tremenda calidad, obvio es de marca Monster, el audio es soberbio.Durabilidad de batería y el volúmen es justo lo que esperas.

First turned it on and wasn't too impressed with the sound but soon realized it does a good job in open space as in outdoors. Bass isn't thumping but still ok. Best part is that its nice and loud. I'm satisfied after a long research... for the price, can't go wrong with this one.
