My daughter and I absolutely love this kit. I was a little confused at first because the directions are clear but have some missing parts to it. It creates some absolutely amazing pictures, but it is time consuming. We loved it so much, I bought two more. It doesn't give a good explanation as to what the extra tools can be used for, but you can play around and figure it out. I would definitely suggest gloves because the negative I saw in this was the tweezers that are given to pull the paper out of the solution, do not clamp correctly and it can stain your hands. I definitely recommend putting the powder and water for the solution in a plastic bottle. I did it that way and was able to shake it up and keep it for the suggested time frame. It does take 6 hours for the water and powder to congeal. If you have the time and the patience, this is absolutely worth it.If you have the time and the patience, this is absolutely worth it. We also used more than the suggested use of two to three drops of paint.

I bought this for my 8 yo, she's very independent with it, and creat amazing prints. The only minus is the paint bottles are very small.All in all, good value for money.

If you like this, you would probably enjoy alcohol ink painting and paint pouring, and vice versa.If you love experimenting with colors, shapes and designs, you will surely love this kit. It comes with everything you need to create multiple paint blob masterpieces, including: 12 paint squeeze bottles, regular paper, a versatile tray (perfect for beads, clay, paint, art resin, glitter, and more), carrageenan powder packets, and various tools (comb, paintbrush, tweezers, spoon, pointy sticks for detailed work) that I plan to use with my alcohol inks too.This kit is easy to use for kids and adults. It's a fun, artistic set with limitless possibilities. The paper could definitely be better, but overall, this is a good value. It makes a wonderful gift as well!

This is a fun project but some details are missing. What IS that powder made of that you mix with water the NIGHT before in order for the paint to float on top. It is non toxic? I could not find details on the box anywhere...so we played cautiously. No ingredient listing anywhere. Works as described...fun for littles. A little messy as you try to get it out of the water and try to find a decent drying spot. End result is stunning.
