I had been looking for strong book ends for ages, and then I bought these. They have a lovely design, and keep my books upright.Also, because there were so many I use some of them to separate my cooking trays, cereal boxes, and other items in my cupboard and keep them nice and tidy leaving more space overall.Great design, and very reasonably priced.

Did the job and look as advertised.Sturdy in the sense that they aren't bending under the weight of the books but they require books to be on them in order to hold the stack together, so in that sense not fully sturdy.

These book ends are excellent value for money, they do what they are intended to do, and look quite nice on my sideboard.

Just purchased, work well, keeps books in order. Black effect and impressionist tree format mean that they do not draw much attention.If you make sure that the books are arranged to be vertical or slightly falling away from the book ends then this will look neat and avoid straining of the bookend.Leave that to Einstein's "Special Theory of Relativity" and then hope that no one actually asks you to explain it. My brother tried this "it's all to do with the hypotenuse". Wisely, I nodded my head.
