Pleasantly soft, like a hardened set of jellies.
Wow I was not expecting that!I thought the spokes would be tough but it is a soft rubbery set of spikes that feel amazing when ROLLING down your head.I used it for my kids and husband and they just CHILLLEEEDDDD eyes closed and all, like falling asleep. I used it on my newborn (now that's my experience but speak to your doctor first) and it brushed the hair nicely. Sooo soft and rubbery, almost slippery! I don't know how to describe it; it is like a pack of hardened jelly. Very nice, no disappointments. The part you hold also slides into your fingers very well so it has a very good grip even if your hair is wet or oily. I did not experience sharp edges or didcomfort while holding it. Just so comfortable.Soo glad I listened to the reviews and took the plunge. The spare hair band was bright and silky but I used it for something else : to hold together a set of wooden indoor gates 🙃

Excellent, really helps as intended & for restricted mobility.
Unfortunately I have a number of chronic health issues resulting from past trauma/surgery, among them serious lumbar spine problems, neck problems, & a pinned right shoulder. At times even the simplest of tasks such as washing my hair normally can be a very difficult & extremely painful process, especially with the obvious limited reach/range of movement. I was also struggling to reach my entire head/scalp using just my left hand alone & I desperately needed something to help in this regard. This simple shampoo brush has actually turned out to be a very useful mobility aid even if that's not really its primary purpose. It immediately made things a little easier & my hair, & scalp are getting properly cleaned again, (for now at least). I can reach my entire head/scalp again with this brush & it has a small handle/cleat on the top that slots between your fingers for a firm grip even when the plastic is exceptionally slippery with shampoo. It also allows me to apply a decent amount of pressure again to clean my hair & thoroughly exfoliate my scalp. (I've never suffered from an itchy scalp before until recently with these shoulder/neck problems becoming increasingly worse which was a clear indication I just wasn't able to ensure my scalp had been thoroughly exfoliated. This brush has immediately resolved that problem. I'm male & my hair is short so I just have at it as best as I can with the brush, so to speak, I don't require any particular technique.) The silicone spikes are more than firm enough to penetrate & the brush doesn't essentially collapse into a worthless blob, but they're still soft enough so that damage isn't inflicted if added pressure is applied. The main outer shell is a hard acrylic & the inner brush portion is simply a soft silicone. The handle/cleat on the top also has a small hole, & two nylon strings with simple plastic push/pull connectors are also supplied for storage/hanging to quickly air dry. The entire unit is very solidly constructed, & mine has already been well & truly drop tested without any problems at all. Considering it is literally a shaped lump of very cheap acrylic & silicone they are a little pricey, but certainly worth it for me. It's easy to see how these could also be a very useful tool for those with considerably longer & thicker hair than mine too. Supplied in a resealable soft plastic/silicone zip lock bag (presumably for travel) with the aforementioned strings. I purchased 2 anyway to have a spare but I would definitely purchase another as required. I'd happily recommend these shampoo brushes/scalp massagers & rate at 5/5.

Not as uncomfortable as it looks
If you have heavy, thick hair like me that tangles easily when wet (or just dry hair in general) then you're going to have a difficult time using this product. In my experience, by the time you've finally just gotten it to work the shampoo has already dried into your hair and you either have to wash it out or try again. Not fun but not the product's fault, though the awkward handle doesn't help much. In conclusion it's a good product, also very sturdy as I've dropped it like three times now and it doesn't even have a scratch to tell the tale. Only rated down due to there being room for improvement for the "spikes". Would recommend.

Effective, but breakable
The actual massage brush is very good and feels lovely. However the handle bit broke off when it slipped out hands in shower and fell which can be easily done when it’s wet or shampoo-ey! Tried to glue back together but it broke off again

Worked wonders
This product has really helped me with my hairless. Highly recommend it to ppl who are having hairloss. I apply rosemary oil and then massage it for a few minutes with the scalp massager. Helps a lot and it's soft so doesn't cause any damage to the scalp. Really good quality and easy to use.
