I’ve been using this clip on Hygger aquarium light on my 10 gallon planted setup for about 2 months now, and I have nothing but good things to say. It’s easy to attach to your tank you can connect the arm to the short or long side of the light depending on your desired setup, and the controls are easy to adjust. The light is very bright at max setting, and there are multiple different lighting modes to choose from, my favorite being the 24/7 mode. I don’t have to lift a finger or remember to turn my light on/off, and it creates a beautiful sunrise and sunset in my tank- though the daylight may be too long for some tanks and cause excess algae. I have a heavily planted setup and none of my plants have showed signs of light deficiency since setup. To top it off the light looks (and feels) sleek and high quality on my tank, unlike others I’ve had in the past.

I bought this for my 20 gallon fish tank- live plants and fish. My plants are just flourishing and my goldfish love the steady lighting. The light has a timer option, where it slowly brightens with orange light in the morning, slowly grows brighter to white in the afternoon, and dims in the evening with blue. It’s incredible- looks just like sunrise/midday/sunset. It cycles for the whole day, shutting off from 10pm-7am. It’s truly a beautiful light, very high quality, low cost, real metal!

This light is a great option for aquarists who want a budget friendly choice that still works decent. While not as powerful or diverse as Fluval, it’s still decent and offers basic lighting options like timers and day/night cycles. It clips on easy and I’ve never had a problem with wobbling or the screws coming loose so far. It also doesn’t droop over the tank, which is good. However, it definitely doesn’t penetrate far down even at the highest setting and I wouldn’t recommend it for any tall or square tanks.

**Update** Total user error. This light is perfect. When attempting to use it the first time, I was using the adapter plug from a previous tank light. While the fit was perfect, it obviously affects the lightning unit. So, that being said, I’ve updated to 5 Stars. My apologies for the bad review! (Old review..)Want to love it. This is second Hygger 990 I’ve purchased in a week and both have had the exact same issue, the light beads only work down the middle and on the far end. Weird that it’s been 2 lights, same issue. I thought it was user error but it’s not a tricky light to set up. I will return and try something else. Very disappointed, as I have a different tank using a bigger Hygger light with no issues at all.

This Hygger 24/7 light completely transformed my 10-gallon planted tank. The gradual sunrise/sunset cycle and full 24/7 auto mode look incredibly natural (and cool). The three color modes (white, blue, and full spectrum) are bright but not harsh, and the timer is super reliable. The quality feels premium, the clip is rock-solid, and the setup was easy. It's a great price for the features. I bought one for our second tank. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a true 24/7 lighting experience without spending a fortune!

I love this light and it works perfectly on my 10 gallon. I haven’t used the day/night feature on it yet but my other hygger light had the same feature and I loved it. Great value, great light! My plants responded right away. It clips and screws onto the side of my rimmed tank just fine. I was worried it wouldn’t clear the rim but it works perfectly.

Good and preforms as described but the light sits too close to the waters surface. My floaters are dying because the light too intense. You can turn down the brightness on the light but not when it is set to a 24hr cycle. Hygger should provide a taller arm to mount the light or allow us to dim the light while set to the 24hr setting.

La lampara se me hace bien, me acaba de llegar pero tiene una buena iluminación para un acuario de 10 galones 50x25cm y 30cm de alto, modifico está reseña, porque la verdad, esta lámpara está funcionando súper bien, lleva 6 meses funcionando perfectamente con el modo de 24 horas, las plantas han tenido una gran evolución, estan mas grandes, y estan sanas

Been using this for 2 months straight on the 24 hour sunrise to sunset cycle and it takes care of the full spectrum plant lighting I needed. Non disruptive and no negative behaviours seen in the plants, fish or shrimp. Both rooted plants and floaters exploded in growth so much that I started another tank for just aquatic frogs using the plants grown in this tank over just 2 months. The light exceeded my expectations. Photos are attached are in evening part of the timer/cycle. If you’re looking for a light that does it all with no worries with timers etc just get this plug it in, set it and you’re all done. No need to touch the lights again after initial set up.
