Pricey but tasty
This tastes and smells more like parmesan cheese than the real cheese name brand (which can be like sawdust!) The biggest drawback is price - don't think it needs to be this expensive.

Taste like parm, ready to use just sprinkle on whatever!
I know there's a lot of new stuff out there but I feel like this as many other products have been on the back burner and didn't get its due credit this is one of those for me to me it smells and tastes and works just like parmesan cheese the crumbled kind that you can get like at a pizza place all these new parmesan cheeses I haven't tried them all I've tried a few to me they didn't come close some were too salty, texture was to like chewy some were good but didn't have the parmesan flavor this one does so if you're on the fence about what parmesan cheese to try I would say go with this one and if anything I would try multiple you know everybody has different taste buds but I feel like most people would choose this just my opinion though.

Great alternative for alpha gal
I was cooking for both vegans and family with Alpha Gal who cannot have mammal products so used this and vegan cream cheese when baking spinach artichoke dip. I was worried it wouldnt bake like real parm but it did and turned out great! It does have a strong parm smell but does not taste strong and everyone liked it. Will definitely keep this on hand for people with food allergies.

Keep it in your freezer!
If you keep this product frozen it will last for a year or more. When you receive it, open it and break it up with a knife. You can also pour it all out and break it up with gloved hands. Then freeze it and it will clump less.It is fantastic on pasta dishes and pizza.I am highly allergic to dairy products, they cause me severe respiratory distress. This product satisfies my desire for some Parmesan flavor without sending me to the Urgent Care.I love this product!I only took off one star because it does clump.Breaking it up and freezing it, also keeping it frozen does help; although I admit it’s kind of a pain.I have been purchasing this product for years and I will continue to do so!

Finally!!!
I've been a vegetarian on and off for over a decade. I've been a vegan many times and it's a serious lack of savory that leads me astray. I've been a strict vegan for a little over a year and the one I miss is cheese. No, I won't actually eat animal cheese. I just miss the flavor profile it brings. My husband's favorite go-to dinner is the old Napoli standard of spaghetti aglio e olio. The problem is, without the parmesan it's just not the same.We are foodies and the fresh grated Parmigiano-Reggiano melting onto the hot pasta that's lightly coated in olive oil and teeming with freshly sliced and sautéed garlic, a pinch of Sicilian Sea salt, and a handful of fresh chopped parsley is a great way to impress any visitor and satisfy even the pickiest of children. It's a simple food that is just fancy enough. You can serve it for a family dinner or dress it up for a formal event. Alas, no melting cheese means that it goes from a five-star dish to a dish that just tastes like it's so close to wonderful but missing the mark. And no. Nutritional yeast does not work. I've tried several different recipes for vegan cheese and I've purchased several as well. While this doesn't match 100%, it's as close as I've found.Once I'm back in America I do look forward to going to a grocery store that carries more vegan options in the refrigerated section. Korean grocery stores just aren't the same.

Reformulated version - not good anymore
For a long time, this was the only vegan parm out there that didn't have that telltale stale coconut flavor, and also tasted EXACTLY like real parm. Unfortunately, when I opened this, the scent was immediately off. I gave it a shot on spaghetti, hoping it was just a slightly off batch or had sat in the sun too long after delivery, but it was inedible, and had that yucky coconut flavor characteristic of so many vegan cheeses. I finally noticed the label on mine says it's a new soy free version. This reformulation has replaced the soy with coconut. The new ingredient listing does not match the ingredients listing on Amazon. I very much hope this reformulated soy free version is not replacing the old one. If you are able to get the original soy based one, THAT one is five stars. If like me you accidentally ended up with the soy free coconut version, Amazon won't allow you to return it, but if you chat with the customer service bot, it will give you a full refund since the ingredients listing on Amazon is inaccurate.

Honestly, pretty funky.
I am a parmesan fanatic. I put shocking amounts of it on my food, and often on things most people don’t. It’s the one food I would be devastated to give up. Food just isn’t the same without it.So... you can imagine my dismay upon learning (from my doctor) that I should avoid aged cheese due to the tyramine content.Given the choice between losing parmesan or migraines every single day, I’m giving up parmesan.I figured it couldn’t hurt to try this, but I ended up tossing it. It is disturbingly similar to parmesan, but like... in an uncanny valley kinda way. It smells like parmesan sat near some bleu cheese for a few years in an attic. It’s just weirdly musty and reminds me of a moldy cheese. The texture was fine. It wasn’t awful, but the smell was worse than the taste and I couldn’t stomach it. Then again, it’s the first vegan cheese I’ve ever had, so - maybe this is blue ribbon amongst fake cheese. If you’re a vegan or lactose intolerant and you just miss cheese in your life, this might be a delight compared to other things or an exciting way to relive something you haven’t had in years. For me, it was too funky to eat.
