This has been a very effective sleep aid for me. I had tried many different supplements with not a lot of success. An endocrinologist did an evening cortisol blood draw and found my levels to be elevated. While ashwagandha works fantastic for some people to increase mood and relieve stress, it does the complete opposite for some others. Unfortunately, I am one of those people, and upon taking a capsule, it makes me extremely anxious. I tried taking it various times only to reach the same conclusion. Be warned if trying ashwagandha for the first time.

Ashwagandha (Withania) is an adaptogenic herb, which helps balance the nervous system. I can tell a difference in that I get tired in the evening, when I should get tired, and go right to sleep.
