So much to say
So much to say....when i feel i need to negative review i ask myself, does the seller deserve it. Its not my intention to put a damper on sales but then i think to myself how much worse can it be for the people using this drill bit. This is a 2nd drill bit, 3rd one i returned without trying. These bits have so much rout-out its not even funny. They literally chew the material, not cut it.Got the bit in the mail, looked good. Put it in the press to test and all i can feel is insane vibration. I assume its my chuck or the base plate. Did all sorts of tricks. No help. Still i decided to drill the test hole all the way through. 18mm bit ended up with almost 19mm hole..wtf!You are thinking, this guy got a bad chuck and blaming the bit...well i had an old pro-grade(guess amazon isnt letting me say the name) bit that was too small but still 17ish mm. I go put a the bit and guess what. No chatter, no vibrations and a drill bit that measures out 17.98mm drilled a hole of 18.01mm i swear i am not exaggerating. Both times bits were lubricated during cutting.Granted this is a cheap bit but still this is just too much. If youre doing the drilling to later tap threads you will be loosing half the surface area.I share two pics. One with this bit and one with second brand. Doesnt take a genuious to see which is which.PS Drilling aluminum piston to test. Nice and soft....

Didn't spin true, broke while drilling the 3rd hole
I was concerned after chucking this into my drill and noticed it was a bit wobbly, it wasn't spinning true around a center point. I had slowly enlarged pilot holes through soft 1/2" thick cast iron and all was going great with my other drill bits. I had drilled some larger holes, too. I bought this bit specifically for a project where I need to tap holes for 5/8-11 bolts. SInce the bit did not spin true right from the box, I was being extra careful and drilling slow with lots of cutting fluid applied. Even though the bit kept catching on the sides of the hole, I made it through two pretty quickly. Then only about 1/4" into the next hole (I had 8 total to drill), Aw SNAP! I mean, literally it snapped in two without warning. I requested a like return which Amazon quickly granted, THANK YOU AMAZON! But, after thinking about it, I don't need this junk. I need a bit that can drill holes, I need this project finished. So hopefully I will just get a refund to my account instead. And I'll hunt around for a better bit, made in USA.

Didn't even cut, just shinned metal
Reading the reviews, I thought these bits would drill a 13/16th hole to 7/8th, not much drilling needed on the lift arm of the tractor. Locked the metal in the lathe and attempted to drill, only shinned the metal on the edge. Used cutting oil and right speed for the bit but no way would it cut. Didn't want to even waste the time trying one of the other three bits. I got three just in case it got through most of it 1/2 inch steel and I needed another bit to finish. Probably works better on soft metals and not steel.

Get what you pay for : (
You get what you pay for!! I needed to drill four 17/32 holes in the frame of my classic car to install four 3/8x16 riv-nuts. Drilled nice piece of hardwood first to see how the hole size was verses the grip on the riv-nuts. Did good on wood so drilled up the car frame (only four holes!!). RIV-NUTS WERE SLIGHTLY LOOSE IN THE HOLES AND THE BIT IS "DULL" THE CUTTING EDGE IS CHIPPED, IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO DRILL THE FOURTH HOLE. (see pics). Car frames are by no means hardened steel, the bit (or a good bit) should have went through them like butter. After I was done I let my nine-year-old grandson drill the same piece a wood I drilled first for a test, poor kid, it was all he could do to drill one hole through a two-inch piece of wood....

Not propely manufactured , Only buy if you know how to sharpen a drill bit.
I would have given this product 2.5 stars if I could. Although the bit was shipped quickly, packaged nicely, of proper size, and made from hss steel as described, it was not properly sharpened. An issue that I do not understand? If you are in the business of making drill bits you would think that you would want them to actually drill a hole. Just saying, you wouldn't wanna sell a light bulb that didn't light would you? What kinda money would you make? When this drill bit was manufactured they did not allow the proper relief clearance behind the cutting edge in order for the drill to actually cut. All it could do is rub against the metal and generate heat and burrs. Luckily in my younger days I did a stint as a machinist and recognized the defect. After sharpening the drill bit properly it worked quite well. Do you know how to sharpen a drill and own a bench grinder with a good wheel? I do not understand how a defect like this could be missed. I was attempting to drill a hole in 1/4" thick 2 inch steel square tubing for a receiver hitch. The bit worked very well after it was properly sharpened. I used the lowest speed setting on a large drill press with a 1/4 inch pilot hole.

Item doesn't match pic or description.
In the pic it shows the bit with a very narrow shaft at one end so it can fit into a drill. But what I received didn't match that at all. The shaft was the same width all the way around, and as a result the bit was too large to fit in my drill. I had to return it and go with a different bit.Don't buy this if you're planning on using it with a regular drill.

POOR QUALITY METAL
I PURCHASED THIS BIT TO DRILL 2 HOLES NEEDED IN THE FRAME OF MY JEEP TO INSTALL A LIFT AND THIS BIT STRUGGLED TO GET THE 2ND HOLE DONE. HOLES WERE PREDRILLED JUST NEEDED TO BE MADE A LITTLE LARGER. THE BIT WAS NOT VERY SHARP OUT OF THE PACKAGE AND THE TIP STARTED BREAKING AWAY WHILE ATTEMPTING THE 2ND HOLE. THIS PRODUCT IS A 1 TIME USE ITEM DUE TO THE POOR GRADE METAL ITS MADE FROM. ALL IN ALL IT WAS ONLY A FEW BUCKS AND IF YOU ONLY NEED TO DRILL 1 ODDBALL SIZE HOLE ITS WORTH IT.

Be sure to buy the correct shank size!
Double check the shank diameter your drill supports. I bought a bit that was too thick for my drill and had to exchange it.I used the bit to drill 3/4” holes into metal studs in my condo. After drilling about 15 holes it seemed to get a bit dull but was still doing the job. Overall happy. Not sure how much life this bit will have.

Order this and get a random size.
I ordered a 17/32 bit. The first time I received 9/16 bit. After a month I tried again and this time I got a 45/64 bit. So the only conclusion here is if you order a 17/32 bit you will get a randomly selected one. The should update the description to read that it's a random size! Now I have to drive all the way to the post office just to return a drill bit! :-(

Performed similar to units 2x the cost.
I bought this but along with one that was approximately 2x the cost just to see how it would perform. I saw no difference in quality as both seemed to dull at approximately the same time. I would recommend this bit.

Not very accurate sizing
Item arrived nice and fast,I ordered a 16mm bit for I project. The bit looks good and and is nice and sharp. Unfortunately, the bit is not 16mm despite being stamped 16mm..... it measures @ 15.87 and if I am correct that would be 5/8" I need 16.0!
