BRIXMaxi Jarkey Jar Opener

Is this mazi jarkey made out of plastic like the standard jarkey is. i keep breaking the regular ones and was looking for something more sturdy.

Will the maxi open smaller lids, as well as those over 1/2"? Or, do I need one of each size?
