Light and warm

I bought this Slumberdown 15 Tog because my old 10.5 tog just wasn't cutting it now that the temperature has dropped. I was tired of waking up at 3 AM with freezing toes, and honestly, this has been a total game-changer for these freezing British winters. It’s surprisingly light for a 15 tog. Usually, when you go for a "warm winter" quilt, you feel like you’re being pinned to the mattress, but this one is really fluffy and "squishy" without the weight. It fills out a double duvet cover properly too—no annoying empty corners. Actually Warm: I’ve actually been able to knock the thermostat down a couple of degrees at night because this keeps the heat in so well. Soft Touch: The cover doesn’t have that "scratchy" paper feel that some cheap synthetic duvets have. It’s lovely and soft. It feels well-stitched and like it’s not going to fall apart after the first wash. Non-Allergenic: I usually get a bit of a stuffy nose with feather duvets, but I’ve had zero issues with this one. One thing to watch out for: Because it’s a 15 tog and quite "puffy," it’s a bit of a struggle to get it into a standard washing machine. You’ll need a decent-sized drum or a trip to the local launderette if you want to wash it properly. Also, if you’re a "hot sleeper," this might actually be too warm for you—it’s definitely a deep-winter quilt! If you’re a fellow "cold person" or just want to save a bit on your heating bills this winter, just get it. It’s a bargain for the quality.

Some 13.5 tog duvets can be too bulky or heavy and aren't always that cosy. This is just as described "Feels like Down" - warm and light enough to wrap around oneself on those chilly nights. Great item at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.
