Is good acacia wood cutting board. For cut vegetables meats and poultry. Is not good for use a Cleaver to chop hard on this board. Is a simple wood cutting board, to use light cut of meat and vegetables. I like it a lot. I'm a Professional Chef, and I use it for my regular cutting vegetables and poultry. Can be used it for serving platter too. Is Beautifull and I love it. I recommend it.

5+ stars. Buy this right now if you respect your knives.
Pros:I've used this almost every day for the last 4 months and it continues to impress me. This matches my acacia Wusthof knife block and pairs perfectly with the knives. Before I bought this, I used to use bamboo cutting boards and plastic prior to those. My god - you can really tell when you're cutting into end-grain as opposed to a hard surface like bamboo or plastic. You can feel your knife "stick" into the grain as it conforms to the edge rather than skidding across the top and dulling the edge. The juice grooves are also the nice touch for cutting tomatoes or anything that has a tendency to spill over the edge of your cutting surface.I didn't realize how useful the handles on the sides of this block would be until I started using it, they're perfect for carrying your chopped up ingredients to the stove-top without having to lodge your fingers under the cutting surface only to spill your ingredients onto the counter/floor.Don't even get me started on acacia. It looks fantastic in the kitchen and it's a very renewable wood as it grows pretty quickly compared to other woods. I used to store my cutting boards in the cabinet but you better believe that this looks good enough to leave on the countertop. Keep this thing oiled and you are good to go.Cons:Absolutely none

Deep pits, after four years
Was great while it lasted. Too bad it only lasted four years.Their customer support is very poor; took several days to respond and when they responded the suggested using board butter. Board butter is not going to fix deep pits that have developed over four years. Board butter, along with mineral oil, is for regular maintenance. This board needs repaired.Ended up replacing with a board from a small business out of Texas, where they take pride in their craftsmanship and customer support.

Overall it really improved the quality of my life/health I was shocked how such a simple darn thing can do that.
The media could not be loaded. Bought this cutting board or rather BUTCHER'S BLOCK a couple of weeks ago and overall rate it as 5 STAR product.Overall it really improved the quality of my life/health I was shocked how such a simple darn thing can do that. It basically increased my will to cook and cut fruits meats and vegetables on it. It makes that more FUN!PROs:HIGH QUALITY - Being a product made of natural Acacia wood I was impressed with the quality of its construction. No rough edges no cracks no inconsistent discoloration.HIGH UTILITY - Its got a deep groove going around the top for capturing foods that leak ex. tomatoes. 2 grooves on each side for carrying. Underside is FLAT so if you want all flat and more space you can flip it.PRESENTABILITY - I never have to put this thing away it's become like a piece of art for my counter top.CUSTOMER SUPPORT - although I have not had to use it, the company was very proactive about letting me know they would make good if I had any issues.CONsIts a simple product so I can't think of anything significant enough to mention. I guess maybe the fact that its not machine washable but even that is kind of a joke.. its natural wood.FINALLYI tried my video review skills on this one so you can watch that to give you more perspective but I really should have made myself some bullet points even before just trying it on the fly. This was fully impromptu but I just haven't gone back and done it better so I hope I don't get too much judgment on that. Maybe i'll go back in the future and replace this video with a better one. In the meantime Snag one of these ASAP - At retail they are like $200 after tax!

Premium quality, but be prepared to care for it
Beautifully crafted! It arrived unseasoned so I took some mineral oil and a paper towel to it. I included before and after pictures. I applied a layer on one side and the edges then waited 2 hours. I then turned it over and applied a layer of oil on that side as well.Boards need care! Any vegetable oil will do, except olive oil as it will gunk it up. I use mineral oil. Seasoning your board will make it water resistant and also prevent splitting/cracking. Clean with a mild dish soap and then dry it. Once it is completely dry, apply a little oil. You can get away with no oiling it every time, but you should at least apply some oil every week if you use it daily.Premium boards need care, but they will perform for years and years. Why did I get an end grain board? It is easier on my blades. Instead of smashing onto the side of the grain, the blade slides in between them on an end grain board. You can't tell the difference with your hands, but on the microscopic level your blades will stay sharp much longer.

Not well made
I want this to be a good product but it simply isn't. The board arrived with an obvious crack and a developing hairline crack. It isn't made by a master craftsman. I don't even think it is made by anyone who has done years of woodworking. I ended up doing research on Etsy for a board that's made by an individual craftsman in the USA. And luckily I was able to find one for about the same price. The quality difference though is just day and night.

This board arrived in a beautiful luxurious box and upon opening it
Ok... This board arrived in a beautiful luxurious box and upon opening it, was wrapped in crisp kitchen paper AND tied with thin white kitchen twine... A super presentation !! This was a great prelude to seeing the rich, heavyweight board contained inside. The cutting/serving board has comfortable groves at the ends as handles and a nice groove all the way around to catch juices while carving. The color of the wood is rich and dark. I gave this as a gift and was so proud as my sister opened it !! I may even order one for myself. Well worth the money... I'm looking forward to having my very own.
