the label said that it "rivals the best French lavenders
I'm new to EOs, and PBN's Lavender Essential Oil was my very first oil purchase, so I was very excited to receive it. Granted, I'm not familiar with the intricacies of the different varieties of lavender, but I do know that I adore French lavender, and although this is Kashmir lavender, the label said that it "rivals the best French lavenders." So, I figured I'd give it a try, as the reviews were very good, and I'd heard of the company before, plus the price tag was great. My first whiff of it brought that excitement down a few pegs. What I smelled was not the sweet yet earthy, outdoorsy scent of the lavender that I know. This particular lavender didn't smell like lavender to me, at all. I'm not saying it wasn't lavender; oh no, I'm just saying that I've never smelled this kind, and I didn't particularly care for it. It was extremely perfumey to me. So, I put it in my diffuser, hoping that it would mellow out some. Alas, it did not. Strangely, even though the scent was powerful, it didn't last long, and became weak very quickly, but while it was permeating the air, all I could think about was baby powder, the exclusive women's store my grandmother worked at in the '70s and '80s that stank of Channel No. 5 and snobbery, a slight note of Campho Phenique and some earthy undertone I couldn't quite place. It actually made me nauseas. I even cleaned out my diffuser to make sure that it wasn't influencing the smell. Nope. The same old lady-perfume, medicinal, powdery smell came out. Very disappointing!I gave two stars for my dislike of the scent, obviously, which would've been one star, except that the package was wrapped tightly so that it wouldn't break, and the price was really good for the quantity of product. Another negative was that there was no insert with instructions on how to use the oil.I suppose that's the problem with buying things like EOs on the internet, though. You just never know what you'll get. So now, I've been carefully researching other company's French lavender oils. I just hope that I don't get one that smells like cat pee.

Discontinuation of bulgarian lavender?
I've purchased this particular brand of bulgarian lavender on numerous occasions, it's proven to be top notch in my book. I recently noticed the label changes & took notice that the formula is changing to include french lavender. My question is, will the bulgarian lavender be discontinued? If so I won't be a happy customer & will be forced to make purchases elsewhere. Don't mess with perfection! For those of us that are well acquainted with essential oils, it's well known lavender is the most corrupted & faked oils out there & extremely hard to find a true lavender oil. Please tell me the sharp drop in price isn't an indication of the selling off of remaining stock. Please say it ain't so!

Don't listen to the negative comments
I have a pretty good sense of smell and I'm telling you this is as close to the lavender flower itself that you can get 5 walkthrough Lavender Fields here in Pennsylvania and it smells exactly like that no chemical smell it smells great will use them in our cool water misters next to our bed and we sleep just fine every night highly recommend this product

this smells more like olive oil or some kind of carrier oil
I previously bought 2 oils and the smell was delicious. I rebought and the smell is not even close to the original one, this smells more like some kind of carrier oil, NO SMELL OF LAVENDER WHATSOEVER! What could have happened? I loved the first one so much! (The one in the right is the old bottle it says lavender kashmir, the foul smelling one only says lavender) BEWARE!!

Not a good scent.
I bought this to use in my diffuser. The smell coming off this is sort of Lavender but it seem like the lavender is mixed with something else. I don't like it at all. Almost like really old lavender...I don't think Bulgarian lavender is so different that it smells off.Sure it is inexpensive but it was a waste of money for me, I will not use it again. So if you are looking to save money your best bet is not with this product because it isn't a pleasant scent. I doesn't seem like a quality product when put in a diffuser either....Didn't "float" like oil. Weird.

Good Stuff
I am new to buying Essential Oil. I needed something to make the house smell good. I have been using plug in type air fresheners for years in almost every room and they don't seem to work.I must say I was surprised how strong this stuff is.I was a little disappointed in the size of the bottle when it arrived.I went to add some to my new diffuser and wow was it strong.I figured out all I needed was a few small drops. The little bottle should last me a while. The house also smells great, I would recommend this to everyone.

Smells good!
I've ordered many brands of Lavender oil including 100% organic and was disappointed in each one. None of them smelled very nice. Finally this brand smells good and I love the glass dropper. Sure makes application easy. I use it on the bottoms of my feet every night to help me fall asleep. They all aided in that but this one is such a pleasant smell. I will order it again. I also use it in my homemade body wash and it gives it a nice, delicate fragrance.

Quality oil and terrific price
I use this oil in so many ways: I put a drop in my diy vitamin c serum; I put a few drops in my DIY laundry detergent; I put a few drops on the filter of my dehumidifier; and basically anywhere I want a nice clean smell. Lavender is such a wonderful smell.
