Aqua Chem 05327AQU-02 Scale Metal and Stain Control for Swimming Pools, 1-Quart, 2-Pack

I had stains that the test kit from the local pool supply store identified as copper. They suggested I drain the pool and acid wash it to start with. I believed I was facing the expense of refinishing. Instead, I tried this product. It has been five days of daily brushing and filter cleaning and the stains are almost completely gone. I will use this again. One word of caution if you have a salt system. Apparently, almost all mineral cleaners add to high phosphate levels which eats up the chlorine and feeds algae. After using mineral cleaners, check chlorine levels often and add shock if necessary and then get phosphate level checked and use a phosphate remover if needed. This may help you avoid creating a new problem while solving another one.

This is a MUST HAVE chemical additive, at least where I live! It seems to solve almost every problem with my pool! Has definitely made my life a great deal easier since I discovered it! I'm was in a panic when Walmart quit carrying it but breathed a giant sigh of relief when I found it here..I buy at least 3 every time I order!

I highly recommend this product if you have high calcium levels or metal staining on your pool. We have a concrete pool that had some staining problems and high calcium levels. After adding two bottles of this product the staining went away over the next few days and I was very pleased with my purchase.

One quart of Aqua Chem in our 10,000 gal. pool and the rust stains on the white plastic pool drain rims disappeared overnight. I will definitely buy again.

Awesome, we bought 3 bottles (35 gallon pool), and did a treatment and much better, just did second treatment and pool surface looks amazing. Highly recommend!

This product did not lower the hardness of our pool at all. I suspect it did, however, raise the phosphates in our pool to over 2500 ppb, making it vulnerable to an algae bloom.

Bought this on my mission to find something that really works on swimming pool scale. Save your money. I didn't notice any improvement after using this.
