Good book with great tips
Good book written by an athlete, not an observer. First person experience adds that extra reality. I’ll be reading it and using it for tips and tricks

Great book
I'm currently reading 'With Winning in Mind' and am thoroughly enjoying it. The book is incredibly easy to read and understand. While the 'Mental Management(R) System' isn't rooted in traditional psychology, it's 100% grounded in competitive experience. This makes it highly applicable not only to athletes but also to individuals striving for success in their everyday lives and careers.I particularly appreciate the author's presentation of specific, actionable steps and ideas to drive individuals towards their goals. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking to enhance their mental game.As a side note, I was very impressed with the fast shipping.

good book on mental system of positive thinking
Loved developing a mental system of success to help achieve your goals. It truly is mind over matter and it’s your mind that matter’s

I was curious what negative reviews complained about and it's clearly people who do not understand how it actually works.I compete in Olympic Weightlifting and I am 2024 USA champion in my age and weight class with Master's Weightlifting federation. I have trained and prepared for competitions and experienced frustrations with the sport he's describing. My coach is weightlifting senior world champion and Olympic champion who was notorious going 6/6 in competitions. This book is like a combination of Power of Subconscious Mind and what my coach would tell me about taining approach and competition approach, Except this book lets you pinpoint what to work on and GIVES YOU HOW to work on that, gives you a system! Yes, you'd need to figure out what type you are and get your mental plan written and practice but anyone who complains about this book doesn't understand how on point this book is! Another great thing about it, there is a little section there that shows you how you can apply it to non sports issues you are stuck in overcoming. This book ISN'T selling his seminars, it DOESN'T promote or require one to be a Christian. This is a true gem and is exactly what I needed to read and implement in training and life in general. I read it in 2 days, couldn't put it down. After a weird intro, it just flows. Then you get to work and it works!!

This book is great.
The media could not be loaded. “I am well aware that there are many fine self-improvement books available. Psychologists, motivational speakers, religious leaders and business professionals write them. A competitor writes this one. The Mental Management® System is not based on psychology; instead, it is 100% based on competition. I did my apprenticeship in the arena of Olympic pressure. My credibility is not based on the course I took in college; it’s in my gold medals and the medals of my students. It’s not theory; it’s simply what works. My goal in this book is to share with you the mental techniques that I have discovered and used to win.”~ Lanny Bassham from With Winning in MindThis is another one of those books that I just happened to stumble upon and I’m glad I did. I picked it up as I was feasting on mental strength training books. It’s *really* (!) good. (Stunningly good, in fact.)Lanny Bassham is a world-class athlete turned mental training coach. He shares his wisdom from the perspective of a guy who has been there and done that in the competitive arena— winning an Olympic gold medal and a ton of other championships. (He’s the third in medal count for the USA for all shooters.)Lanny’s also a great story-teller and a precise teacher. He’s been at this for over four decades and it shows. He created what he calls the Mental Management® System and has trained everyone from PGA golfers and Olympic champions (and teams) to the FBI, Navy SEALs and Miss America contestants.Let’s take a quick look at a handful of my favorite Big Ideas:1. Process Is Primary - Did I win?2. It’s 90% Mental - So give the mental side some love!3. Mental Management® - What is it?4. Pressure - It’s normal and good.5. Your Good Shots - Focus on them! Here’s to making the process primary as we train our minds, rehearse our optimal lives, forge a new self-image and give our greatest gifts in greatest service to the world!More goodness— including PhilosophersNotes on 300+ books in our *OPTIMIZE* membership program.
