Dependable basic machine
Trusted brand and lightweight for taking to guilds and classes. Easy to transport. Easy to use. Nothing fancy-schmancy just a well made basic sewing machine. Great value.

Awesome for beginners!!
I love my janome! It’s easy to use, work with, and it’s cute! It’s a pretty decent size and it’s not to heavy where it makes it a stationary sewing machine!

Great little machine for the price
I've been sewing for 40+ years, and I own several machines including a serger, a computerized Janome, and now this sweet little machine. I bought it to use for repairs and small sewing projects at my partner's home, because I didn't want to drag my machine back and forth. I've already used it for several projects and am impressed with its sturdiness and ease of operation. It sews well and has a nice variety of stitches. It's definitely a keeper. I noticed some reviews mention it seems a bit noisy, but it's a mechanical machine--- not computerized, so the working components will be more noticeable. Couldn't be happier with it.

Janome makes some great machines, but this isn't one of them.
I needed a reliable zig zag machine, and I loved my previous Janome Sewist (moved along long ago) so I ordered this. It skipped stitches and couldn't make a proper zig zag. I removed the cover plate and bobbin case and could see clearly the needle/hook timing was way off, but there was no way for the user to fix it. So I sent it back for a replacement, which worked fine for one day and then...same problem. I replaced the needle. I replaced the thread. The defect got worse and worse ( see photo). So I'm returning this one and whatever I replace it with will not be a Janome Mod.

I own several sewing machines and this Janome is the Best machine I have ever owned for simple stitches lite for travel and class. Sews beautiful stitches every time.

Great lightweight machine
Bought for transporting and using in quilting class. Does a great job. Wish it came with an appropriate bag for travel (shopping bag) but alas I have extra!
