This machine is simply amazing. First, I've never received a product better packaged / protected for shipping. Second, this machine is built like a tank. Absolutely top level commercial quality unit. We got the smaller 4oz - warms up in 3 min, perfect popcorn in another 2 min.Best of all is this machine's design. The cover slides up and stays put via magnet; the kettle swings down as opposed to a fixed position dump. This all makes adding ingredients so much easier, and also makes cleaning the kettle and inside a breeze. The non-stick kettle is also a game changer.This unit costs a little more than the others, but it's worth every single penny. I expect this unit to last many years. I'm an extremely picky consumer, and I do my research - the Paragon machines are easily the best on the market. Stop looking and get this one or one of their other machines. A+++

Fantastic popcorn machine. I kept coming back to this one when reviewing other's. I almost went with another brand, so glad I didn't. Great American company that sells quality products. My family couldn't be happier with this professional machine. This model has the warming light too. I had to go to the Paragon website to make sure. You won't be disappointed with this popper.

I’ll start by saying the popper is sturdy and makes great popcorn.HOWEVER, the door does not hold up to the heat generated during normal operation. It started to crack where the metal door hinges and magnet are attached. It started with tiny hair line fractures but continued to worsen. This happened within one year of use only using the unit 1-2 times a week.I took pictures and complained to the company that this should not happen for a high end popcorn machine. They sent me a new door but the replacement had no hinges. So, I had to use the ones from damaged door. They also informed me this would be the only replacement part I would get without further cost to me.Now, about 4 months of use with the replacement door, the fractures are starting to form again. This is obviously a design flaw. A metal door may not be as attractive but would hold up to the heat.I am very disappointed to have spent so much money in a machine having such a major design flaw.

WOW!! Great product,,,, i had tried the Great Northern Popcorn Machine much cheaper than paragon MF Machines,,,, and im glad i made the switch. Great Northern are much cheaper this Paragon is alot more money but it is sturdy,, well made craftsmanship. I got the 4oz machine thats all you pretty much need for a home setting of family,,, the watts on the kettle is fantastic,, far more than Great Northern's..... and as long as this product is used in the home you have lifetime warranty on parts,, so you really cant beat it,, the higher price does justify everything in this matter.....

At work, we have a Great Northern 6oz machine, so I'll be comparing to that.My first impression upon unpacking the machine is that it is very sturdy. Heavy Duty sheet metal makes up most of the frame. Much more than the Great Northern machine.It's also easier to load. The lid moves vertically up and out of the way, instead of just half of it flipping over. that makes it very easy to add packets of popcorn. The kettle is much nicer, both in finish and heater element as well.This being a 4 oz machine but same size cabinet as the 6oz machine at work means it's much easier to clean. More room inside the cabinet, and the dump mechanism for the kettle is very nice.In case you were curious, the electrical cord is on the front side. When the door is facing you, it's on the right hand side toward the front. I wish it was toward the back, but I suppose the machine is setup for operator/customer operation, in which case the cord is further from the customer.The one downside I've seen so far on this machine is that the lid is made out of such heavy duty metal, it doesn't open easily from popcorn pressure. that means it can create a lot of popcorn shards as the popcorn gets pressed up against the lid, still spinning, but not opening the lid yet, it breaks the popcorn into smaller chunks. If you get in there at the right time, and pull the lid up that does help.

One of my buddies has the Paragon Cineplex Series machine, and I really enjoyed the popcorn. I preferred the more modern style of this machine, so I opted to buy this machine. I have it downstairs in my "man cave"/home theater/poker table room. Not only does it make excellent movie theater quality popcorn, but it also looks cool (when paired with the Paragon Contempo Small Popcorn Cart). I chose the small 4-ounce machine, which makes enough popcorn to feed 2-3 people given that I'm still living the bachelor life. Obviously, you can always make multiple batches if needing to feed more people, or if you just love eating a lot of popcorn on your own. It has a warming lamp to keep the popcorn warm. I guess I've never really paid attention at the movie theater (and I go to a lot of movies), but the machine generates quite a bit of steam during the popping process. I don't know if I can really call it smoke, because it doesn't smell like burnt popcorn, but it will make the air a little hazy. Thankfully, I have a room air purifier/filter system that clears the haziness up pretty quickly. However, I wouldn't let this deter you from buying this machine. I recommend buying Flavachol popcorn seasoning and the Paragon popcorn coconut oil. I normally like lots of butter on my popcorn, and I don't even feel like I need to add any extra butter once it's been popped.

This product really shows “Made in USA” quality! Precision cut stainless parts and well assembled. All well packed and arrived in perfect condition. Very pleased with my purchase.

This machine is extremely durable & well made. Easy to clean up and makes perfect popcorn every time!
