Super sturdy! VERY easy to assemble. for wide wood but work around below...
I bought this mainly to store short wood (5-5.5") for my small smokeless fire pit as well as Cobb Cooking stove. The racks bottom and side bars are much wider than that so I just simply put down a bottom layer of typical 16" firewood on the bottom, laid the short wood end to end (2 pieces of wood rather than one). As I built up the load, I used long pieces on the 2 sides so the short wood wouldn't squeeze out. It rests perfectly flat and secure! I have a big tarp and have not used the cover-I'd prefer it to cover the entire sides as my tarp does, but one can argue that the rare wind blown rain that gets to the wood is typically offset by the extra air exposure to accelerate curing of the wood but I have 2 wood racks-one ready to use, one to age, so I prefer the full coverage tarp. It would be improved by adding a middle bar, so one could effectively have TWO piles of wood-one ready to use, one to let age.

Sturdy and has a cover
This was pretty easy to assemble. Straightforward instructions. You will need to cut your logs a minimum of 18" long to fit properly on the frame. I like that it was lightweight yet sturdy and had a partial cover for the elements. Now I have a neat wood pile.

Solid rack, easy to assemble, 2/5 cord capacity
Mostly as advertised. I was a little alarmed at first because the box arrived in pretty rough shape. Credit UPS for dragging it around their warehouse. After opening the box, all parts were included and everything was in good shape except for a small dent in one of the tubes. Paint looks good but a few areas had some scrapes probably from rough handling during shipping. Assemble was easy with a 1/2" socket wrench (not included). I could not get the upright tubes to be straight up - they are both at a slight angle outwards but it does not impact performance. Adding a couple more washers on the bottom bolts would probably fix this but it did not bother me enough to go hunting for extra washers. The unit is heavy and feels pretty sturdy. Holds nearly 1/2 cord. Probably closer to 2/5 of a cord of wood. The cover is a nice included feature as I noticed other brands typically sold the cover separately for another $10-$20. Some of my logs were too narrow to stretch between the rails but I could always find some long enough to fill the bottom and sides of the rack and keep the rest of the logs from falling through. I would not hesitate to buy this again. Wish it survived shipping in more pristine condition but seriously, it just holds my firewood so who care about a few scratches.

Neat storage, and handy to have.
We bought this 8' version to set on the deck just outside our front door, so we would have a ready supply of firewood handy without going to the big wood pile out back nearly as often. Time will tell, but so far it seems to be made reasonably well, and the integral vinyl cover is doing a good job of keeping the rain and moisture off the wood. Just make sure your firewood is cut to AT LEAST 16" lengths, as this is the bare minimum that will fit without falling through the bottom rack. Will revisit this after one year to see how well it holds up. 12/30/2014 Something I wanted to add is you will definitely need to have this located on a firm surface such as concrete, asphalt, or wood. Remember these legs are only about 1 1/2 inches in diameter, and once loaded will readily sink into the soft ground. If it sinks in unequally, the frame will twist and distort. Keep it firm and level and don't tighten the bolts so much you distort the tubes, and it should hold as much wood as you can stack on it. 10/7/2015 Going in to its second winter, this rack is still holding out just fine. The cover has faded to a dark gray, but is still sound and does a great job of keeping the wood dry. The velcro on the ends is weak and won't hold in a strong wind anymore, so we took a pair of small clamps and bungee cords to hold down on the ends, and it has stood up to strong winds just fine again. 11/22/2016 Going in to its third winter, and still as good as when we bought it. We have no rust, or corrosion problems, and even loaded to the top and above, the frame is still true and straight. As mentioned above, the cover has faded to a dark gray, but in spite of that, it is still holding out. No dry rot, holes or tears. This has been a very good investment.

Solid, heavy duty, good value
I've had several firewood racks, ranging from expensive (Woodhaven) to cheap. The Woodhavens are really solid but they're around a couple of hundred dollars for an 8-footer. The ShelterLogic rack was $58, including a cover, and truthfully I didn't expect much. I was surprised, though, as it turned out to be heavy duty with what look like quality components. Glossy epoxy-looking paint with excellent coverage. Good quality fastening hardware. I put it together myself in 15 minutes, it was a snap. Much better quality than my lightweight cheap rack that I can easily lift myself. The ShelterLogic is hefty enough that I asked my son to help me carry it.

Perfect way to hold my wood, and with a longer tarp, perfect for seasoning firewood quickly
I recently had several trees taken down and decided to keep some wood for future use. Log racks that were specifically for "seasoning" wood looked exactly like this much cheaper log rack. When I asked a few experts (and did further research) about what the difference was, they stated that it was mostly like just the name of the rack and maybe a longer cover that differentiated a log rack for seasoning firewood from this log rack. It keeps the wood off the ground, and allows me to cover it to allow properly season the wood for use in hopefully a year or two. It was easy to put together and looks great covered with wood. I looked it so much, I bought a second one, when I quickly realized that despite giving away 2/3 of my wood, I still had way too much to fit one 8 foot rack. I also recommended this to one of the recipients of my wood; she also bought one and I believe she likes hers as well (especially after buying a much more expensive and smaller 4-foot rack). The only negative is the flimsy cover thats included with the rack. It blows off easily and comes undone quickly. After weighting it down, did it actually cover the top part of the wood pile, leaving plenty of space for air to flow through and dry out the wood.

This rack was very simple to assemble. It holds a huge amount of wood, with no sagging. Nice paint finish as well.

Arrived on time and as described. Easy to assemble.Seems sturdy enough and loaded it up with wood easily. Hoping its durable but time will tell. As for the cover seems adequate however I do not expect it will last long given the fact sun beating down on it and only having velcro to hold it together. Like others the cover could have been longer to ensure it fit properly. Seems short when you load it up to the top. May purchase a bbq cover to replace it. But overall given the money satisfied.

Está muy bien para guardar la leña. La pega que tiene es que en la parte de abajo tienes que poner troncos grandes solamente para que hagan de base y no se caigan.
