I love this bulb
Beautiful both when lit up and off, but still very cheap for a bulb like this - particularly a smart bulb! Easy to set up with Alexa, dims on voice command and overall just fabulous!

Avoid
Looks good, but terrible app and integration with Alexa. After struggling but finally managing to set the bulbs up on their app and also with Alexa, it would initially work. However, the next time I would try to control with the app or Alexa the device could not be found! Should have bought the wi-fi version instead of the Bluetooth version as it is meant to work much better.

Excellent packaging, great quality bulb, but impossible to link it with the app.
This smart light bulb (filament Edison E27, amber, dimmable) arrived very well packed. The packaging was of an exceptional quality for the bulb so I had a high expectation regarding the quality of the bulb. The bulb is quite big, I liked its shape, nice vintage look and colour. Looks of a very good quality and is very well made. The light colour is of a nice warm white shade, very pleasant for the eyes.Troubles started when I installed the app and wanted to set up this smart bulb.I downloaded the app on my android phone, I wasn't happy that I had to give it permission to access my location (all the time), but I did it as I wanted to test the bulb properly.I had to create an account to be able to use the app.I don't like to have many different apps on my phone, but sadly I wasn't able to set up this beautiful bulb with the app I use for all my smart devices - Tuya Smart.I followed all the steps from the manual to set it up correctly, but it is not that straightforward as I thought...Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it work through their application, I couldn't set it up as it did flash only four times no more.I asked my partner for help, so he reset everything and started from the beginning, also without success. We wasted a good half an hour to try to set it up...Eventually we've tried directly in Alexa app and the bulb connected to the Alexa immediately without any problems.I gave it name, so I'm able to switch it on/off and dimm using voice control, which is very convenient.I like that this is dimmable, I like the darker mode at evenings when I'm watching movies.I'm disappointed as it is very expensive bulb and the app doesn't work. Excellent packaging, great quality bulb, but impossible to link it with the app.I think they should update the manual to save frustration for many people.

Setup is Complicated - I've had No Issues with Bulb Flickering That Some Have Experienced
So i've spent the better part of an hour setting up my Apple Home controlled bulbs today. The instructions are minimal, just a series of pictorial charts making the short double sided A5 more inclusive internationally as written instructions are all but scarce. In reality the setup is not a piece of cake. They are identical to a larger set from Ledvance which i've just finished installing so the steps remain the same.I wanted to set it up over Apple HomeKit so that I can control the light remotely using a hub, which can also be done with one of the iPads set up as a hub in the absence of a dedicated Apple Hub.These are the steps I undertook:•The first step is, if not already setup, find the 'Home' app on the iPad/iPhone and enable it by allowing it to use iCloud.•Download the 'Ledvance Smart+ Bluetooth' app for the App Store as these are bluetooth enabled bulbs and not the Wifi set, which has a secondary app on the App Store.• With the Ledvance app ready on your device, proceed with fitting the bulb and switch each one 'on' and then back 'off' a total of 5 times to factory reset the bulb. On the fifth 'on' you will notice a slight delay before the illumination which signifies they're ready.• Then follow the instructions on the Ledvance app, it'll download an update and install some firmware if it needs it and signify that it has recognised the bulbs which will appear in the dropdown.• I then follow the same Ledvance app's instruction to either control the bulb through the app (for which need to signup to with email address and password, which found unnecessary) or transfer through to Alexa or Apple Home and click on my choice.• Your selected choice, in my instance Apple Home, then opens up and the bulb appears in the app. It can then be set as a theme.• A long press of your chosen bulb in the Home app will open the colour wheel. Its very rudimentary and simplified. I can't set a timer like my Philips Hue bulbs, or even set a schedule for them which is disappointing. If im doing something wrong and someone finds a workaround for this, then I would love to hear about it.• If you have a Apple hub, you can then connect it via the Home app so that you can control the bulbs from anywhere in the world. And if you don't have a hub, but a spare phone or iPad, this too can be used as a hub too.I have a number of ledvance bulbs, to set them all up in this manner is time-consuming and unnecessarily complicated. My Phillips Hue bulbs took a couple of minutes to connect to the app for perspective.Once set up, the bulb worked faultlessly, the shade adjustment has a slight delay if controlled via the third party Home app as oppose to the Ledvance app. the Laedvance app also allows more control in terms of settings with the bulb. But you do need to sign up to an account in order to do this. The bulb quality is very good. Very well made and should last a while. But the software issues and the high price is a issue which I hope Ledvance can reconsider in time.I like the bulb the shades, the hues it can provide and the build, so 4 stars fro them, but the app is just not user-friendly enough I would give the software 2 stars.3 stars overall.

Works for Alexa too - not just Google Assistant.
I ordered this bulb for use in the kitchen, to complement another LEDVANCE (multicolour) bulb located in another part of the kitchen. This is a much lighter bulb that its counterpart Classic E27 multicolour bulb. It's power consumption is 9 W with an output of 806 lumens and as reported above, only has one colour temperature: warm white at 2700K. Consequently, I was not able to change the colour temperature of the bulb through Alexa, though the brightness was adjustable. While the box indicates that this particular model works with Google Assistant (no other device types are listed), I found that it worked perfectly with Alexa. Neither do the instructions make any reference to other home control systems. I was able to get the Alexa iOS app to pick this light bulb up and configure it without any problem. Indeed, I did not have to install any additional app to get this to work. I was able to get the bulb to work without specifically using the LEDADVANCE+ app detailed in the instructions.I did have issues getting it to stay on the flashing 'setup' mode, but when I enabled the Alexa setup, Alexa picked up the bulb even though it didn't seem to be on setup mode.In summary, this is a functional bulb that produces only one shade of dimmable light that was easy to set up using Alexa alone. So it's not just for Google Assistant.
