Floss Organizer Storage Box With 18 Compartments & 100 Bobbins, Clear, 10.5"

This was just what I was looking for!

Feels sturdy. Comes with plastic bobbins, not paper. You can move the inserts around a bit to rearrange the size of the compartments which is nice.

This is perfect for my Floss, especially the bobbins that come with it. A couple of the bobbins were broken when I got the package, but not enough for me to be super annoyed. It's an inexpensive plastic storage container, so not super durable, but I'm hoping to get years of use from it, but the hinges have me nervous.

I recently received this and am using it store embroidery floss. It serves its purpose well.The paper bobbins that came with the box are similar to card stock and completely usable. Now, I have a mix of plastic and paper bobbins (The vast majority are plastic, and I do prefer those over paper. I used the paper ones for random bits of thread. One thing I like about the paper bobbins is that they are easier to write on than the plastic ones). The paper bobbins are slightly larger than the plastic ones from DMC. I can see how if you use the paper bobbins a lot or over a long period of time the quality would degrade because they are paper. However, they didn't tear or bend when I wrapped the floss around them, and I don't foresee them doing so with my casual usage.I currently have 90 wrapped bobbins in this box; the majority are full skein DMC floss. There is room for more bobbins. I did use the larger compartment for floss. If I hadn't, I could possibly fit a few more bobbins, but certainly not many.This organizer appears to be well made. One concern heavy/frequent users may have are the hinges on the box. Having used items with the same type of construction, I know that the plastic hinges may eventually become weak. I don't think it will happen to me (hopefully), but if you are in and out the box a lot over some time, I can see the hinges failing.

The container itself was great. No complaints about the container itself. However, the product was an eye catcher to me because it included the little floss holders. However, when I was organizing my string, the floss holders were flimsy and didn’t hold up as strong as I’d like them, too. They were made with sort of thin cardboard rather than plastic. Plastic ones would’ve definitely been better but I can’t complain about the container.

I absolutely love this product! I got this to keep my embroidery floss all organized. It's super handy that the container is clear, so I can see what colors I have in each box without opening it. I ended up buying 2: It comes with 100 bobbins, but I found you can fit about 6 full bobbins (new container of embroidery floss) per compartment, there are 18 compartments total- so it fits about 108 bobbins of thread total.

How much of an OCD-type freak are you? Like are you no fun at parties? Then buy this right now. BTW I'm right there with you and I love this.Thing is, you have to wind all your little DMC skeins around little cardboard inserts (included). It will take a couple evenings or more depending on your levels of freak.And the skeins don't come quietly...they are all knots and arguments. But! If you can see a project like this thru, you end up with neat little bundles of thread in a different form that it was before. I'm a freak so that makes me happy. Check you own personal level of freak before purchase:)

As other reviewers state, the bobbins are a light cardboard and would only be good for gentle use, but the box is wonderful and is a better price than the comparable one from another company which did not come with any bobbins. The lid is secure and items will not slide from compartment to compartment over the top because there is no space there. I also like that the dividers are permanent so are flush with the bottom so nothing can get underneath to another compartment either. The larger compartment is 4-1/2" X 1-5/8" and 1-5/8" deep. The other 16 are about 2-1/4" X 1-5/8" and 1-5/8" deep. The clear lid makes contents clearly visible.
