highy recommend these for you SW 686 - L frame
i am using these on a model 686-6 performance center 357 mag - 5 inch - it is a heavy revolver and with the standard rubber Hogue grips it always felt narrow and i felt like the weight of the 5 inch barrel was all on my right index finger especially when shooting one handed. This grip is wider and i guess larger all around but very smooth and my hand really fits around it nicely the finger groves are very well done. The finish looks great especially after apply some light oil and buffing - the fit is very good - almost perfect - most folks would not notice - and just to note the original rubber grips we also not 100% perfect - BOTTOM LINE -- these look and feel great , really makes the revolver look like a 1200 dollar piece - can wait to get to the range -

Perfect fit for SW 686+
Fits the SW 686+ (L frame) as it should. Easy 5 minute swap-out from stock grip (you’ll need a 3/32 Allen wrench to remove stock grip). Nice looking Hardwood, well finished. Comfortable in my average size man hand. We’ll see how it feels at the range soon. I’ll update if necessary. Note: be sure you know if you have a round or square butt K/L frame. These are for a round butt.

You'll love these for shooting.
I really like these. The fit is great! Both to the gun, and to my hand. Nice clean look. Unlike the factory combat grips. They'll not add any monetary value to the gun. But those are several hundred bucks. These feel better than the factory rubber grips. And seem about the same comfort level when shooting.

The wood was better than the pictured
The wood was better than the pictured, the grain was darker and the grain was beautiful. It fits my medium sized hand well and tamed the recoil of my Model 65 down to nothing (It was not bad anyway). The only reason I took a star was that the fit was not as good as it could have been. All and all I would by another and am satisfied with the purchase,

Beautiful grips, fit perfectly. I could not even tell they were used, returned for some reason, maybe, but used, no. I little slick in the hand but they are beautiful.

wood grain looks fake
Fit was perfect. Finish was perfect. Only issue was that the wood grain looked like straight lines painted on. Not at all natural looking.
