Great For Computer Desk
Great light, nice and bright and I can direct the light in any direction I choose. A HUGE plus is that it works with HomeKit. That was really the single most important factor that prompted me to buy it.The only slightly negative comment I can offer is that the foam packaging was firmly (did I say FIRMLY?) glued to the protective plastic sleeve the lamp was in and that whole mess was also firmly glued to the inside of the box. Someone at the factory had way too much fun spraying glue around with his/her glue gun. I had to use a knife to carve the lamp out of all of that foam/plastic/glue. Fortunately, none of the glue got on the lampOtherwise, 5 stars from me

Works as it should (now)
When fist connected and paired with the app, it said it needed a firmware update which I allowed. Unfortunately the update (4.2.4) is bad. The lamp would turn off with the Alexa app and by voice (Echo) but would not turn on except by physically touching the on/off button.Customer service promptly determined it was a firmware issue and they emailed me a pervious version (4.1.9) with easy to follow instruction to roll it back. They did try to access the lamp online (I had given them the lamp code), but since it was off they could not access it, so they emailed me the update instead.Weird to have to do this with a lamp, but that's technology. If you want to use technology , you have to deal with some of these things.Bottom line...great lamp, great functionality, and great customer service. Will by another when needed.

No HomeKit or QR code !
UPDATE: Amazon shipped this in the original Meross box. When we took the cardboard box apart, in one of the folds at the bottom was a plastic label curled up in a tube...straightened out and put under glass to hold it down, it turned out to be the QR code I needed. I was able to add the lamp to HomeKit, but never got it added to the Meross app. I think I may have got a returned item due to the box labelling with multiple Amazon labels, this curled up code label, and loose packaging inside the box (the item was sliding around). I've updated my rating to four stars as the lamp is working well, just can't get it to show up in the Meross app but can use the HomeKit app for remote access to it.The device looks nice...shows up in my Meross app so is "found" (I already have other Meross devices) but then I am prompted for a QR code or HomeKit number, either to input by camera or by typing numbers. I have been over the two pamphlets included..they refer to the QR code and number but do not list it. There is NOTHING on the lamp itself with a code (and I used reading glasses to read the info on the bottom but it's all legal and electrical info), and although the box says it is HomeKit compatible, there is NOTHING on the box except a 2-D bar code to scan if you can't connect. But I see it on my 2.4G network and it shows up in Meross as "found"....can anyone tell me what code to use to get this thing working in the Meross app or HomeKit?

Meross Desk Lamp Gets the Job Done
The media could not be loaded. This desk lamp does exactly what i need it to do. To get the annoying part out of the way first, using the Meross app to connect the smart lamp was a pain for setup. Using the smart lamp section only allowed connecting through Apple Home Kit - i intended on using Alexa. I could not get this to work after over a week of trying; almost returned it. Going the route of a smart bulb gave me the option to connect to the smart lamp via WiFi.Otherwise, the way you can angle the lighting is great to light up my working area. Once it was connected through Alexa, voice control was very easy. 3 light warmth modes and around 6-7 preset brightness settings.

Great concept, poor execution — sadly returning it.
This is a desk lamp — or in my case, I already had a similar lamp on the nightstand next to my bed as a reading light. The lamp I’ve had for years is excellent: it offers a wide range of motion, multiple color temperatures (warm, white), and a well-calibrated intensity that’s adjustable (though I usually keep it at 100%).The idea of a HomeKit-compatible desk lamp sounded fantastic, especially since I haven’t found many options. I planned to integrate it into automations based on specific times of day, using motion and presence sensors to turn it on or off — the concept was very promising.Pros:1. It doesn’t feel cheaply made.2. The light intensity is adequate.Cons:1. Adding it to my Home setup was a nightmare, even after carefully following the instructions and connecting via 2.4 GHz WiFi.2. The build is extremely limited: the arm only moves along one single axis. If you want to tilt or rotate it (X, Y, Z), you’re out of luck — it only moves in Y and Z. It cannot rotate along the X axis, which is a huge flaw. If you need to direct light to a specific area, you literally have to rotate the whole base.3. HomeKit compatibility is terrible. Unlike many other devices (I have a large HomeKit ecosystem), this one stops working completely if your network switches from 2.4 GHz to another band (like 6 GHz). Most smart devices only require 2.4 GHz for setup but work fine afterward — not this one. Conclusion:A great idea, but poorly implemented — both in terms of physical design and smart integration. The lack of X-axis rotation is already a deal-breaker, but its unreliable HomeKit behavior makes it completely unacceptable. It’s going back to Amazon. If you were excited by the potential of this product, be warned: the execution may disappoint you as it did me.

Not smart
This lamp promotes smart home options but for the year that I have had it the app continues to say it cannot work. The lamp itself is hard to use as the buttons don't seem to recognize when I press them 9 out of 10 times. Nothing like fumbling in the dark trying to turn it on and having to press the power button over and over again just so it will work.

Easy to use and connects to HomeKit
The setup was very simple - plugged it in and scanned the QR code through my Home app. From there it’s easily accessible via HomeKit. Can choose from 3 different colors and the material/finish is nice and solid.
