I love this jar
I first got the kit with the jar, scoby, lid, tea, sugar and instructions, and could not have been more pleased with how easy it was to start brewing my own kombucha. The scoby is very healthy and good sized and kept fed has turned into a little workhorse. The jar is marked with measurements on the side, is a great shape to help grip when moving it, has a pour lip which I really like to keep mess to the minimum, and is just too cute with the bee embossed on the front. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. But I realized after a few weeks that I needed another one gallon setup so that I would not run out of kombucha waiting on the next batch to brew. I was happy they sold this simpler kit because I just loved this jar. This is a great company whose kits yield consistently great results!

Kit was used and dirty
This is the 2nd time ordering this kit, 1st one was canceled enroute. So I ordered it again. I've made a good number of batches of kombucha and wanted to get back into it...Got my kit today, opened it up and was greeted by the smell of vinegar. Somebody probably sent it back and didn't wash it, since everything was inside the jar you can imagine how sticky everything was. SCOBY is shredded, and thin....doubt it will make anything.Overall I'm sorry I bought this kit. Would of had more luck buying a SCOBY and a gallon jar.

Jar is pretty
What I didn't like was that the material Cap with elastic band was too small for the Jar so i'm using a paper towel with a large rubber band. Scoby is very healthy and growing fast!

Easy to clean, wide mouth, heavy but not unuseable.

The plastic bag was busted
The plastic bag the scone was in was busted open and scoby no good
