I bought my Dump Buddy in late March 2022. We only had a couple of short trips that year to try it out. It worked great! It was an ideal solution, especially compared to the extra weight of those sewer hose "saddle bags" or the bulky plastic housings you fill with water to weigh down the hose. This thing is so small and only weighs a few ounces. The way it tightens and locks onto the ground pipe and my Rhino hose elbow was perfect.I did have one location which had a recessed ground pipe which has nothing for the Dump Buddy to grip. The next time I'm at the hardware store I'm going to purchase a threaded 4inch PVC extender/coupler. I'll keep that with me and next time will screw that in to the ground pipe which will give the Dump Buddy something to clamp onto. (I'll just have to remember to unscrew it and bring it with me when I leave!)Then, in early March of 2023 (that's one year after we bought the Dump Buddy) we took off on a one-month long trip with our RV including lots of stops. Before the end of our trip one of the bands broke and would no longer tighten on the sewer pipe in the ground.When we got back home I contacted Dump Buddy via email. The SAME DAY I got a return email which offered me a FREE replacement!It ends up that Dump Buddy had re-engineered parts of the unit and were offering a free replacement to anyone who purchased it from Amazon before December 20, 2022. I had missed that! They're asking $8.00 to cover shipping and will send out a brand new unit. I got my new unit today and it is definitely stronger.This company knows how to do what's right when it comes to standing behind their product. (And with the Dump Buddy YOU don't have to worry about standing right next to it when it's in use. ;-)(BTW, I was not paid or given anything for this review. I'm just a happy customer.)

Nice product. I have been wanting to buy one for sometime but I wasn’t a fan of the price. They could sell for half the price by eliminating the case AND mesh bag.

I used for the first time recently because some of the full hook up spots the threads are either gone and the sewer elbow doesn't want to stay in the discharge PVC pipe or no matter how you try to line up the sewer elbow it ends up tightening in the wrong direction on occasion. We have a plastic water contraption the wife found that when filled with water weighs down the elbox but it still has a large footprint for storage and is a minor incovenienence to fill and then empty, etc. I accidently ran across this Dump Buddy contraption and thought it was used headgear for braces or something. LOLIt works as described and even though at a campsite with a pvc sewer pipe with good threads and even tightened down the elbow was lined up, I decided to test this device. I unscrewed my perfectly lined up elbow and used this little fellow to secure the hose and elbow. I was about fifty fifty when I let loose the sewer flow that it would pop off and sewage would go a spray'in. No issues as it securely held the elbow in place.I give it a lower rating on durability as the the knobs feel like cheap plastic and I am wondering how long before the knob or threads give out. Regardless, first time out it worked as advertised. I will update the rating after multiple uses should it fail for any reason.

Over a 6 week RV trip, I found only 4 places that had a pipe long enough to attach the Dump Buddy RV Hose Fastening Device, and it worked great. It did not work on those places (12 locations) where the drains were flush with the parking pad. In those locations it was back to a rock to hold the drain in place. But, when the Dump Buddy had a place to secure the band to, it worked great.

Very simple to install and most importantly keeps my sewer hose tight to the drain.

It is exactly what we wanted for our trailer. It keeps the sewer hose in place and eliminates the odours.
