I bought this set as a gift and was impressed with how beautiful the stones were.

**EDITED FOR UPDATE** I paid $21.96 for the #002 Amethyst WITH Pendulum set but the first set I received was the lesser priced $18.47 set of stones WITHOUT a pendant and also in the wrong color: I believe, Black Tourmaline.. That first set I received, the stones look nice: good size, weight and have a good heft and feel in your hands. But the pouch is a weird translucent plasticky material and the whole set reeked strongly of chemicals and/or cigarettes. Nauseating! Two days later, I did receive the second set of stones in the correct color, WITH the pendulum. A nicely shaped and sized chunk of amethyst, attached to a long metal chain. On an advisory side note: I thought at first that I had not received the pendant again, because it was wrapped separately and had fallen into the discard pile. (In case you are wondering, I know that this was NOT the case with the first set missing its pendulum, because it wasn't until I was cleaning up and going through the discarded shipping stuff from BOTH orders that I discovered the *only ONE* pendulum, I checked thoroughly--and I hadn't sent the first set back yet, either). Anyway, the Amethyst runes are not sloppily marked as some others have complained. Irregular sizes as others have mentioned, and I wish that a bit more attention had been paid into engraving the runes on the side which would face the top, if the flattest side was facing down but there are only a few like this. Appears to be genuine Amethyst, which was a consideration for me. If it hadn't been, I would have opted for a nice, shiny synthetic flat set all uniform in size and color. The crappy pouch didn't smell too bad this time. The booklet is a joke. All in all, a basic serviceable set of beginner runes. None missing. Another side note, I had to laugh at some reviews which mention receiving a plain, unengraved stone, as if it was included by mistake. This is what was called, in my first set I received over thirty years ago, the "Odin" or "blank" rune. More recently, I have seen it referred to as the 'Wyrd" stone. This set does indeed include it, but it is not mentioned in the crappy booklet.

It was quite a journey to find these tunes but it was completely worth it. From runs that ended up being plastic or too small, these are actual stone and perfect casting size! The runes are very legible, the stones uniform without looking factory processed, and overall very high quality.

The stones look amazing and the pendulum shines brightly in the light. The stones were carved into with what looked like gold ink really giving it an awesome look. They feel amazing and I love the little pamphlet that comes with it.

Bag was frayed when i opened it so i wont be using it, luckily i have an extra- and the H isnt the hagall H its just a regular english H but if u look at the first photo in the listing its like that too so thats my mistake for missing it, other than that everything else came unchipped. Painting is a big sloppy but it feels more home made that way to me- if thats an issue for you however i would look elsewhere

Everything came in a very carefully bubble wrapped bag in a tight fitting box. The stones were very high quality stones. I could not get a better value for the money! Thank you for the care put into this set!

Really nice set, they came without any chips and they are polished out nice. I am looking forward to using them for many years.
