Does not work on 1997 aluminum block LS1
I threaded this thing in by hand all the way. And I put a wrench on it and added a 16th of a turn. And I went around to the front and I turn the engine over and over and over and over and over and the f****** piston never touch this thing. I pulled it out and there wasn't even a dent in it. It may very well work on some other engines but it does not work on a 1997 Corvette aluminum engine block LS1: the original of the God LS engines.

Very soft and did not work.
Did not work on Stihl MS171 chainsaw. Stub that contacts piston simply bent and failed to stop piston from cycling. Very soft plastic. Don't waste your money. I had to revert to the old nylon rope method which worked fine like it always does.
