Good read.
This book is a good read if you like hard science fiction. The stories are varied and each brings out the author's particular style of writing. Worth a look.

OMG! Hard SF like I read in my young adulthood.
Unlike another book in this 'series', I loved reading this one. Genuine intelligent science, great twists, proper English, and that almost-always-forgotten, crucial ingredient - romance.

One of my recent best.
One of the best sci-Fi anthologies I have read in a few years. All stories worthwhile and a great escape to imagination.

Not what I had hoped for
After the death of Gardner Dozois, I am looking for a new collection for my annual reading of quality short sci-fi stories. Despite the title, this collection is a mixed bag both from a quality perspective and being true hard sci-fi. It is more a mix of of various SJW-oriented SF, with some stories also having a hard sci-fi twist. While GD certainly bent towards SJW-themed sci-fi towards his later years, he kept a good solid mix across the spectrum of types and genres. I will keep searching for a suitable replacement.
