BEWARE:I had no idea that I cannot put hot water in the jars. The company doesn’t mention that. I poured hot water in and it got broken immediately. Very disappointed

I bought these for teacher gifts for the holidays. I chose these because they come with the tags and other accessories at a great price, and because they have handles which went with my holiday theme (hot chocolate mugs). They came out so cute! I only needed 6 mugs for gifts so I'm happy I could keep two for myself. My only two complaints - I didn't realize you couldn't use these for hot drinks (so I had to put a little disclaimer on my gifts, bummer) and the chalk marker tip is pretty thick, so if you're writing a lot of text, or small text on the chalk tags (ex. I wrote a little recipe) it's not ideal. Wish the marker was a thin point for easy, legible writing. Other than that, I'm very happy with how they came out.

I've lost (cracked or broken) four of these within a month of using. If you want these to sit around and look pretty, then go ahead. If you're looking for something functional, or have children... look elsewhere. I have four mason mug jars I've had for 5+ years that are like tanks, and that's what I was expecting... I mean mason jars are pretty tough so why not a mug. I wanted more of the mugs I had and I couldn't find the manufacture of them so I took a shot getting these. To the manufacture: It is entirely possible to make these mugs, where they don't break when they fall off a 3 ft table, pour coffee in them, or have children.I was brewing Green tea... at 160f water, and the bottom came clean off after I poured it. I see now that it's not for hot liquid, so I'll count that as a "user error" but small falls, daily usage wear and tear should not cause these to break. Ok rant over.

I received one box and one of the mugs was broken but Amazon immediately sent me a replacement box. The Maredash people customer service were also on the ball and worked to make it all right. These mugs are wonderful and the mason jar lids fit perfectly so I can even can in these, however, I gave one to each of my family to drink our butterbeer and they were perfect. Thanks so much.
