An excellent sturdy stool if you don't mind paying a premium price. Great for rambunctious boys who jump on and off it, nice non-slip top. Folds up to a slim position - great for storing.

I was skeptical at first, the claims Rubbermaid made in the description are somewhat unbelievable, but i can certify that yes, once you stand on top of it you are in fact taller than when not on it, allowing you to reach things you normally wouldn't be able to reach. However, bear in mind that this only help you reach things that are higher than you are, such as a high shelf or on the head of a very tall person. It makes reaching things that are lower than you much harder, such as the floor. I have sent Rubbermaid an email about this issue but have not heard from them yet.

We bought this stool 5 1/2 months ago for our seven year old child to use when standing at the kitchen counter. Our child is the only person in our household who uses this stool. Today it collapsed while our child was standing on it and the plastic completely broke away at the hinges. Our child has a sore back and was scared by this. I bought it because it was Rubbermaid and I thought it would be better than the foldable dollar store stools. Our foldable dollar store stool lasted 5 years!! GARBAGE STOOL!!

Needed something easy to use and store and this fit the bill. I use it in the kitchen and the laundry room when I need to reach items stored on upper shelves. It’s sturdier than I anticipated and it does not slide across floor. Folds nice and flat which was the primary reason I choose it. To use it, it unfolds and you have to snap the top down. To fold, you unsnap top and flatten to put away.

I am so glad that I bought this! I did a lot of research and all other folding stools have folding platforms, which increase the risk for collapse (and falling/injury). This is the only one that has a solid platform! It's very sturdy and has grip on the platform, as well as grip on the legs. I am so happy with this purchase! It is a bit difficult to collapse, as the lock is quite tight when it is engaged (unfolded), but this is an okay tradeoff for me because it means that when it is unfolded, I know that it isn't going anywhere and will be super sturdy.
