I've purchased this before, in smaller quantities, the sample size, which I highly recommend the first time you try this. Having said that, I have elevated this to be a staple in my life now. I won't ever be without it. It's a cup of coffee in a stick of gum! Not the taste of coffee, but the caffeine effect. Here's why it's actually better than coffee: 1) It is absorbed through the mouth, so it hits your system faster 2) It's cheaper than Starbucks 3) It doubles as a breath freshener 3) Tested by the military, for the military. (Send you soldier or sailor some in a care-package!) 4) No need to tip the waitress, 5) Less messy when you put the leftovers it in your pocket (5 sticks to a package). Here's why it's worse than a cup of coffee: 1) You won't get to talk to that cute waitress 2) You won't get to gaze into the eyes of that girl you're meeting, 3) You don't get the enjoyment of stirring your cream and sugar and watching the color change 4) You can't discuss business ideas over a stick of gum 5) Its weird to ask a friend out for a piece of gum. I was so distressed when I couldn't find this online, I actually tracked down and emailed the company asking what the supply problem was. Turns out it was a packaging equipment failure...they couldn't wrap it up to sell. Of course I offered to come over and help fix the equipment right away, but they politely declined. What they did do, however, was to send me a couple of samples (along with some Big League Chew gum which they also make) to help me get through the shortage. They didn't have to do that, I was already a raving fan, but I'm even more so now. And, for the record, I purchased a tray of each flavor so that I won't run out again...I usually chew a stick every afternoon when that dip in energy starts around 2-3 pm. It really does shift my productivity and alertness back up, but without the crash later you get from sugary energy drinks. I originally got this to use working snow removal during snowstorms...when I often couldn't leave to get coffee, or there wasn't anyone open to get it. I probably gave out half of the first tray I bought to co-workers and friends. I always keep some with me. Please note that there is a bit of a strong taste sort of "in the middle" when you're chewing it after a minute...my guess is that is the caffeine kicking in. I don't mind it, but some more delicate paletes might. Get the smaller sample first and send it to me if you don't like it, I'll chew it! ;) If you're a prepper, then you certainly need this for your bug-out bag...when the adrenalin starts to fade, or if you need to push on to escape the apocalypse, this will help you do the job. If you want something to barter, this might work well too. And I will acknowledge there are other caffeine products on Amazon, but I'm not into taking a caffeine pill, and the other gums had less, some significantly less caffeine, which meant it would cost more and I'd have to chew more to get the same results. I found the best, I don't need to experiment. One caution: READ the label. Follow the recommended number of sticks in the time frame. I've never had any issues...but I can see someone getting sick from being foolish and chewing 400 pieces at once. Buy all you want, Ive already got mine!

I love this gum and I have chewed it for years. The caffeine burst is a great boost and provides great energy. The cinnamon flavor is my favorite but I also like the peppermint. The flavor is really good and it lasts for a while. It's a great value for as many caffeine boosts as you get in one box.

I hate the taste of coffee in all forms (hot, cold, frozen, with milk/cream and sugar, in mocha form, etc.), and I don't really care for tea or the various energy drinks out there either. Plus, even when I force myself to drink those things, they fill me up and take far too long to work. I discovered this through a Google search and knew I had to try it. I bought a case of the cinnamon flavor. It arrived two days ago, and the perfect opportunity arose to test it this morning, after a night of only 3 1/2-4 hours of sleep (stupid smoke alarm batteries started to die in the middle of the night and notified me of this fact with an ear-piercing chirp every 2 minutes until I got up to change them.) Having read some reviews, I knew to follow the instructions carefully (only eat one piece, only chew it for 5 minutes). I popped a piece in my mouth at 7:40 AM on my way to work. The taste wasn't horrible, as some other reviewers proclaim. It had a slightly bitter cinnamon flavor, one that while not delicious was something I could tolerate for 5 minutes. Five minutes is all you need (plus the gum starts to lose its consistency and disintegrate in your mouth at that point, so you'd have to spit it out, even if you wanted to keep chewing). I was already feeling far more alert at the end of the 5 minutes than before I started chewing, and within just a couple more minutes, I was completely wide awake and refreshed. It left a kind of bitter taste in my mouth, but a couple bites of food and sips of juice removed that pretty quickly. Each piece is only 10 calories, compared to a large cup of coffee that with milk, sugar, syrups, and whipped cream could run you 600 calories or more. I started to feel a little tired again 4 1/2 hours later, and by 6 1/2 hours later, with the night of less than normal sleep, I was really tired, so I popped in my second piece of the day. My energy level and alertness were back up again in minutes. I highly recommend this product to people who don't like coffee or energy drinks and need to be more alert. (A full night's sleep is obviously the best thing, but this is second best.)

The cinnamon taste fantastic for the first minute or two. Understand that caffeine is bitter, if you’ve ever take a no-doze or any caffeine supplement you’ll know this. As the initial sugarcoating wears off the gun gets bitter after a few minutes. The instructions say after five minutes you can spit it out. Works great in the morning instead of coffee without coffee breath. No teeth staining. Great pick me up in the middle of the day Great appetite suppressant. Way cheaper than energy drinks, and easy to carry around! I’m buying tons more of the stuff. This is an American made product That I will continue to support.

MEG has changed its formulation recently. This newer version still has 100mg caffeine, and hits just as fast, but it doesn't taste as good. The good news is, they removed the aspartame. The bad news is, they replaced it with sucralose. It leaves that long lingering sucralose aftertaste, that outcasts the cinnamon taste when you spit out the gum.

Just arrived and used. It's a great product and have used it quite alot previously. Only downside was I realised after purchasing that you can buy it for a third of the price directly from the website.
