Excellent so far, but it's only been a day. Installed in a 2000 Toyota Celica GTS. Had replaced the originals with an aftermarket set (don't know the brand) in 2011, at 120,000 miles, when they could no longer keep the hatch up in cold weather. Fast forward to 2023, at 196,000 miles, and the same thing was happening. Installed these yesterday, it was quick and easy. Hardest part for me was getting the clips on, ended up using 2 needle nose pliers to hold and open the clips to slip them on. Now when I open the hatch it raises up by itself (it hadn't been doing that for a while) and I can close the hatch with one hand. Very happy with them, they seem durable, hopefully they will be, time will tell.

Although advertised as a replacement for the original hatch struts on my 2001 Celica, these needed a bit of modification to get them to fit properly. I ended up having my mechanic install them. They're not as hefty as the originals, but that seems to be the way of the world nowadays. That said, after a week, they're working great.

this work out pretty good for my Toyota Celica GT 2005 with spoiler...thanks, even though i finally got it installed in a Car shop in a couple years later.. the original nuts was too hard to get off lols..so i had a shop to replaced it with these new ones..only took the mechanice like 20 min to replace so i did not wait long that was awesome at least...holds pretty well...bye all.

So.... I just finished installing this on a 2004 Toyota Celica. It took me a while, what a waste of my time. To find out they are worn out. They are not holding the hatch as they should. It falls right down. So this tells me they are worn out. Ask yourself, why do they not come in a manufacture's box, but just some average cardboard box. How many times could these lifts have been pass around, repackaged and resold because it's easy to change the box? No instructions, screws for the base of the lift. Word of advice, buy at autoparts store, better chances at getting a new set, and not used ones.
