Fit perfect and works.
This type of power adaptor port has been a bad design from the beginning on laptops. No matter how you place the laptop the jack is in danger of getting hit or pushed messing it up. This replacement fits and works just the same as any other you could get at a higher price.

Fixed my problem. I tried new chargers, but turned out I needed this part. Now my laptop charges without issues.

The component fit just as the original did. It is helpful to place a small dot of glue to hold the internal part in place.

Round slot too small to fit on peg that stabilizes it
This DC Power Jack with cable harness charging port is supposed to fit a Dell Inspiron 3000. IT DOES NOT.The small hole in this piece is too small to fit down over the peg that holds it in place. In the process the peg on my laptop broke off. I do not recommend.
