Best Hot Plate I’ve Used, Great for Small Spaces!
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using this Ovente double burner since December 2022 after trying out two other brands, and this is hands down the best one yet. It heats up fast, cooks evenly, and is perfect for my small space, it’s been a real lifesaver.Cleaning it is super easy, which I really appreciate. Over time, it may lose a bit of its functionality (one of my burners now stays on even after I turn it off, so I just make sure to unplug it after every use). Not a big deal for me, but something to note. Also, use small-medium sized pots or pans for even cooking. All in all, it’s reliable, simple to use, and worth every penny. I’d recommend it to anyone who needs an extra cooking surface or lives in a small apartment. Great investment, highly recommend!

Wow what an amazing tool to have!
This was well worth the purchase. I am able to cook comfortably and without worry in my living room . Very easy to use. Be aware, this turns on and off as a safe measure...when it reaces ideal temp. I have no issue with this, as food cooks with no issue. Cord is somewhat short. Noise is minimal. Easy to clean also. Recommend.

A bit slow to boil, as with any portable stove.
I previously used a portable stove that had an electric coil, but now decided to try this glass one. This review compares the two types. The upside of a glass stove is that it's very easy to clean. If you were cooking pasta and the water boiled over, you could just wipe the glass top with a damp sponge. However, the steel base below it gets stained easily and is more noticeable, so it depends on if that matters to you.The downside is that the glass top boils water more slowly than a coil. My old coil stove boiled a pot of water in 7 mins, while this one takes around 10 mins on max heat. (However, the coil on the coil stove deteriorates after 2 yrs of daily use. I imagine a glass stove will last much longer.)A frequent complaint is that the stove eventually pauses momentarily during cooking. When boiling a pot of water that takes 10 mins, it might stop at minute 9 and pause for 1 min. But I'm pretty sure all portable stoves do this as a safety measure to prevent overheating. (That’s why I think portable stoves are best for boiling or steaming, not pan frying.)Well here's a tip to overcome the pause. Heat a pot of water at medium-high heat. Then when it tries to take a pause, turn the dial to high and it will overcome the pause to continue heating to a boil.UPDATE: I’ve used it daily for 6 months now and it still works good for what it does. I previously said it takes 10 mins to boil, but I’ll revise that by saying it can boil in 8 mins on medium heat if there isn’t a lot of water. Yes, coil stoves are a bit faster, but they deteriorate after 2 years of daily use. This glass stove will last much longer than a coil for sure. This is a simple low cost stove that I don’t regret buying. Just don’t expect too much!

Great little burner that does the job and has a small footprint.
Great little burner that does the job and has a small footprint. This is the third try to find a single burner that will actually boil water and doesn’t stay hot to the touch for longer than 10 minutes or so. It costs half of the last one I purchased that couldn’t boil water and stayed too hot to pick up or move off the countertop for 30 minutes+!

Nice quality
I have had a few of these types of small cooking ranges...this one heats up very quickly and boils water quickly. Iam very impressed with this unit. Cooking is very quick. Just wipe with a damp rag to clean it. I would recommend this item its nice quality for the money. It's lightweight compared to other I have had

Heats up fast
Was looking for something small for when I occasionally run out of propane for my stove. Works better then I expected. Made dinner tonight in about the same amount of time the stove would have taken. Heats up super fast. Was definitely worth the money. I'd buy again if I ever needed another.

Decent for its price range but deficient when it comes to dependability
The Ovente countertop burner with ceramic glass is an excellent addition to any kitchen, surely. It heats up very fast, and very hot provides an easy-to-use device that does not take much to place & start using and eventually gives excellent cooking results as soon as you get used to it. However, that's only in the first couple of months of using the product.I bought it because I wanted an alternative to cook things that didn't use gas. This way I could prepare foods such as omelets, fried & boiled eggs, sausages, etc. that didn't take much time and still receive a great result. But after two months of getting a more-than-decent experience, the burner started to have a few problems.Firstly, the burner started to lose the indication numbers for heat level. This started happening in the first month, without the numbers it started to become a little difficult to know what was the heat level, until I got accustomed and made the indications myself with a permanent colored marker. It was a bit problematic, but nothing out of the ordinary.Secondly, the burner turned on and off while heating. It was a sort of heat protection (I think) that keeps the device from overheating. The problem with this is that the first three levels of heating didn't work when the device sensed overheating. Really I couldn't say what that was, but it happened every time I used the burner for more than 5 minutes. It eventually got annoying to hear the burner go on and off, and a little frustrating I could use the first three levels. However, of course, I could live with this.Thirdly, the ceramic glass on the large side fell off after two months of use. I bought this burner in July and started using it in August. By October, the ceramic glass on the large side of the burner fell off. I don't know how it was attached to the device, but the glass separated from the metal and was sliding off from its place every time I had to place/move the device. I tried gluing it to the device again with temperature-resistant glue, but it fell off two weeks later once again. So it left it like that. Until yesterday.Yesterday while cleaning the device, I turned it 90º by mistake, and the ceramic glass fell to the floor. Here, you can imagine what happened later. A bunch of broken glass I had to swipe off, and an almost useless large burner on the device that I don't know how to fix.So, I could say this device works well when it comes to performance. It may become a little problematic after a month or two, but nothing that would really damage your cooking. However, it is not as dependable or resistant as you would hope.I used it almost every day, so it is easy to say that I might have overused it. However, of course, that's not an excuse for a product that should have lasted more, or at least not give that many problems in such a short period.I give it three stars because it performs well, but it loses two because it could be a little more durable & reliable. Overall, however, it is a great option for the price, as long as you are going to use the device every now and then, and still being aware that after a few hundred uses it could start presenting a few issues.
